When I received an Advanced Reading Copy of NEST I was eager to start reading.I have only read a few books that were thrillers and I'll admit that it's not a genre I usually read. My hopes were high that Mr. Goodkind would create a thriller that would be intriguing and intense. I definitely was not disappointed. This book grabbed me and kept me reading until I found myself on the last page. There are so many things in this book that left me curious and others that left me cringing. I absolutely loved this book and would recommend it to readers of thrillers and fans of his other books.

This book was excruciating to read the details just went on and on, page after page explaining the same thing over and over again

When I heard that Terry Goodkind was venturing into a new genre, I couldn’t help but wonder if I would like it as much as his other books. I like thrillers, so I had hope. But I had seen other authors fail when attempting to break into a new genre, so I was leery too. I’ll admit that my hopes were high—he is a very successful author after all, so surely it would be good… wouldn’t it? Well, as it turns out, yes! The answer is YES! The book is awesome! Plot twists, intrigue and oh so much brutal reality! Best of all is that it’s fresh and new. It’s not a tired old plotline revamped with new characters, but is instead truly unique. The premise is so insightful that you may never look at the world around you the same way again, which is exactly what I hoped for when picking up one of Mr. Goodkind’s books. That seems to be his specialty, and this book is one of his best. It’s an enthralling page-turner, and definitely thought provoking. I can hardly wait for the next installment.

Terry Goodkind steps into a new world of fiction and knocks it out of the park. Captivating from the first to last word. Edge of your seat action and in depth look at the minds of killers. A world of evil explored to the deepest depths. A test of personal will and survival. The tentacles of evil are everywhere and Kate Bishop is right in the middle of it. How will she handle it? Does she have what it takes? Fight or die. Find out in this epic thriller, "Nest" by Terry Goodkind

It moves slow in the beginning, but finishes with great promise for future books. I think the book would have been much better if the editor had asked that the repetitive sections be rewritten. Constantly referencing a description of Kates power added nothing. I look forward to the next book.

*** Spoiler-free review for NEST *** This lethal thriller is not for the faint of heart. NEST shattered writing taboos and had me looking over my shoulder and second guessing before every closed door I chose to open. It took as much courage to read NEST as it must have taken the author to write it. When I finished, I found myself begging for it to be fiction but somehow knew that much of it resonated TRUTH. To sum it up in one sentence; NEST is the book that Evil fears.

I absolutely loved this book.It caught my attention and had me sitting on the edge of my seat from the first sentence. The characters are so real that I found myself feeling for them and with them, all the heartache and suspense, pain and fear that Terry Goodkind is so adapt at portraying. He brought to life these new characters in the modern world with a few surprises we love from this author.I anxiously await the next in this new-hopefully-series TG has begun.I am not a paranoid person, but this story opens your eyes to the possibility of there being more to this world than the eyes can see ;and ,if you are a paranoid person, this story confirms all your beliefs that this world holds deeper dark world connections than some people can ever conceive. You have to read to believe!

First, let me start by saying that I'm not an avid reader of thrillers, in fact they are normally at the bottom of my list in terms of genre. So when I heard that Terry was writing a modern day thriller, I was skeptical to say the least. I've been a fan of his Sword of Truth series for the last 17 years, and can honestly say that my love of his work is the only reason I read NEST. I was not disappointed in the slightest, in fact it surpassed any expectations that I had going into it! I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of Nest, and just like everything else Terry has written, It grabbed me from the first sentence, and never let me go. I think my favorite thing about Nest is that it made me think and question life, the human race, and the eternal struggle of good vs. evil, in a way I never had before. I read far into the night until I finished the book, something that rarely happens anymore, because I simply couldn't put it down. I needed to know what happened next, where the story was going, and how the protagonist, Kate Bishop, would react to the events unfolding around her. Once I read the last page, closed the book and set it down, I sat in stunned silence, my mind racing to comprehend and make sense of how the book affected me.Terry has a wonderful history of writing strong female characters, and Kate Bishop is a wonderful addition! She is smart, strong-willed, and yet has an emotional arc that you just can't help but to feel for her and to cheer her on. Terry's unique voice is recognizable throughout the whole book, at times even more so than it is in his Sword of Truth series. In fact I'd wager that if you handed me this book without telling me who wrote it, that I could identify it as Terry's work. I highly recommend Nest! Even if you don't normally read thrillers, it is well worth the

I bought this book because it was a Book Bud special. I like a little bit of psychic talent thrown in with my thrillers. Well, what I got was cut rate for sure. In fact I am amazed at the positive reviews, to tell the blunt truth. This book struck me as a thin disguise for pro-Israel, American conservative, end times propaganda. It consisted of agonizingly long, opinionated and far-fetched dialogue punctuated with the grossest of violent imagery. It wasn't a was a ludicrousity! No...Israel is neither the tip nor the point of anything, especially with Netenyahu in the driver's seat. Goodkind must be a pen name or he is misnamed. We do NOT need any more stirring of the pot with books like this one. Things are bad enough as it is. I started skipping pages after the second three-chapter discussion about the nature of evil. The end was maudlin, formulaic and, of course, left an opening for a sequel which I will avoid. What is this? Is it a thriller/fantasy or a manifest?

Terry Good kind departs from his SoT genre to bring us a thriller that delves into the darkness of mankind. He offsets the darkness with his avenging angel and sets up the sequel in a fast-paced finish. The downer for me was Terry's use of the past tense in his writing. The use of too many hads, haves, had beens, etc, rather than active tense in sentence structure, probably added to the word count, but distracted from my enjoyment of the story. The editor should have caught that.

A very enjoyable read. Simple plot a bit predictable. Good ideas though really like his characters and how easy it is to connect with them. Good grasp of human nature. Really a very believable story.

I was a bit hesitant to read a modern thriller from my favourite fantasy author, but I'm so glad I did. I completed loved this book, from the fast pace to the characters to the story line. It truly is a thriller- had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put it down and finished it two days! I recommend this if you like Goodkind's other works, because the same inspirational ideals and relatable characters are there. More than that though, Goodkind's dealing in real subject matter that applies to us in today's world and what he has to say is actually quite scary. To think of all the things that are happening on the Darknet that I didn't know about.... Truly recommended. 10/10.

I was fortunate to come across The Nest, a thriller by the great Sci-Fi writer Terry Goodkind. I am not a big Fantasy fan so this book was initially a challenge. Boy, was I happy that I decided to read this fascinating and unique novel. The book asks questions about life, death, and good versus evil, all discussed in a truly mesmerizing and insightful manner. I was immediately entranced with Kate Bishop the unique protagonist in this wonderful book. I was tempted to stay up all night to finish the book and eventually finished the next day. Goodkind writes women well, and Kate Bishop is no exception. Do yourself a solid and grab this book as soon as you are able.

Terry Goodkind will terrify you with NEST. Masterfully written, Terry once again takes the reader on a fast-paced thrill ride, fighting evil at its most terrifying. This time, however, his heroes face evil in the real world. I couldn’t put this book down and the deeper I got into the story, the more fascinating it became. NEST is not for the faint of heart, but it will awaken you to the diabolical evil that exists in the world in which we live. I personally believe Terry has accomplished something extraordinary with NEST. He has redefined the thriller, and this one is a game changer. Read this book. You will be glad you did.

I've now read this book twice. It's amazing. Call it fiction, but most people don't realize that evil is out there. Best to be prepared for it.
