Overview

This book makes a great gift for the golfer.
ENDORSED BY SENIORS GOLFERS OF AMERICA
- "This is a complete informational and motivational book in which seniors learn what Arnold, Jack, Langer, Irwin, Trevino, and many other top golfers have said about golfers over 50."

FROM AUSTRALIAN SENIOR GOLFERS - "This book has over 300 pages of what would be expected stuff like overall golf advice, golf tips, golf techniques and golf equipment advice - but there's much more. The much more includes complete golfing exercise programs, ways to loosen stiff joints, diet information and goal setting. (There's even some bonus pages at the back if you want to get really serious and record your fitness progress)."

"But what really sets A Complete Guide For Golfers Over 50 apart is the emphasis on fun. Not only is there a full chapter of golf jokes, there are jokes interspersed throughout the manual and another section on fun formats and suggestions on keeping up the interest by varying your routines. Live longer and healthier, absorb some wisdom (and maybe a game changing insight) from the greats, and laugh more. Much better than getting the sh*ts over a fluffed chip shot."

"I found the second chapter What Great Players in Golf Have Said About Senior Golfers to be particularly valuable (Golfwell personally contacted many of those contributing)."

"Amongst some great golf and life advice I particularly liked Lee Trevino's quip: "The older I get, the better I used to be." - Brian O'Hare, Founder Senior Golfers of Australia.

WHY IS THIS BOOK DIFFERENT? This over 300-page guide is for senior golfers who want to learn a higher level of play and maintain that level as the years pass.

Fantastic book and I loved it. I keep it around and dive into it now and then to remind myself of the shortcuts for better play. Loved the jokes too.

I read this book as a writer who writes about sports psychology. All the details—the research, quotes from pros, tips about having fun—made me want to take up golf! This book is super detailed and really fun. It includes tips based on how pros play, in addition to quotes from them. Also included are lots of jokes. And I found really interesting the research about golf, laughter, and health. The authors obviously love playing golf and have a deep understanding of its social, health and physical benefits. To have more fun, the authors also provide “popular side games,” which look very enjoyable. I especially appreciated some of the tips that are firmly rooted in the sports psychology concepts I write about. For example, to play better and have more fun, don’t keep score. Also included is a section on setting realistic goals—an important concept in sports psychology. This includes a quote from Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Read this book if you’ve ever considered playing golf and want to have fun and improve your health. Read it if you’d like to become more literate because you’ll find quotes not only from famous golf pros but famous authors! --Lisa Cohn, co-founder, KidsSportsPsychology.com
