Reviewed by Mamta Madhavan for Readers' Favorite The hermit crab was known to all the creatures of the ocean as the Affirmation Weaver and though he was a crab of few words, his intricate web gave joy to anyone who had the time to enjoy its beauty. A dolphin was watching the hermit crab but he was unhappy and feeling sorry for himself. A sea child observing the dolphin asked him why he was not playing with his dolphin friends. The dolphin gave a lot of excuses to the sea child and it was evident that the dolphin was unhappy and did not believe in himself. The hermit crab heard the dolphin's story and he knew it was time to weave a different type of web. How does hermit crab's web help the dolphin? Affirmation Weaver: A Believe In Yourself Story by Lori Lite is a beautiful and insightful story that will help young readers believe in and have confidence in themselves. The affirmations ' I am creative; I believe in myself; I like myself; I am happy; I am full of life; I am a gift to the world; I learn easily; I can do it; I love myself' - are useful for readers to develop self-confidence and self-belief, and will help to create positive thoughts and vibrations. The concept of Affirmation Weaver is extremely good and will encourage readers to look at themselves in a positive way. The illustrations by Max Stasyuk are excellent and make the concept clear. This book is a must-read for children as it will help them develop positive feelings and will make them confident to face the world in a good way instead of feeling sorry for themselves and sad.
