The First Installment of the Forever and Ever Series.

Cayson is in love with Skye Preston, his best friend for over twenty years. They grew up together, bathed together, and spent every holiday together. Hoarding the secret hasn’t been easy. Every time Cayson sees her with a boyfriend, he wants to smash his fist into a wall.

But he could never tell her the truth.

The close friendship they have is too good to be ruined. If he confessed his deepest feelings, how would it change what they have? Would he lose her altogether?

But everything changes when Cayson finds Skye at a party, drunk and incoherent. Unable to stand on her own two feet with breath reeking of alcohol, she’s easy prey to the men staring at her noticeable chest. Cayson immediately scoops her into his arms and takes her home. But when they arrive at the house, Skye doesn’t want to sleep. Instead, she wants Cayson in a way she’s never had before.

What will this mean for their relationship? Is it the start of something Cayson has always dreamed of? Or will it be the end?

About the Author

E. L. Todd was raised in California where she attended California State University, Stanislaus and received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, then continued onto her master’s degree in education. While science is interesting and a hobby, her passion is writing. After writing novels as a small child, her craft grew until she found the confidence to show her closest friends—which is how Only For You, the first installment of the Forever and Always series, and the Soul Saga series began. When she isn’t reading or writing, she is listening to indie rock music. Her current favorite artist is Mumford and Sons, whom she credits most of her inspiration for her novels. She also enjoys running and swimming, as well as working as a high school teacher. She also works as an assistant editor at She has an unusual obsession with dogs, even though she doesn’t own one, and her favorite vacation spot is Disneyland, which she visits several times a year. The most important aspect of her life is her friends, whom contributed so much time and energy into all of her novels. According to E. L. Todd, “Without them, Only For You and Soul Catcher never would have come to fruition. I am theirs forever.”

OMW! What a bunch of hooey! The storyline was silly and the characters are self indulgent. As inconsistent as it is, it wasn't a cliffhanger. That is the best I can say...

I cannot finish this book because I cannot read one more sentence where the character SMIRKS! Is this the only emotion they can show? It is actually painful each time I come upon the word smirk. It does not even make sense most of the time.

Good story line, but in my opinion a lot of "corny" scenes. Characters say things that I wouldn't see happening in real life.

E.L. Todd was a lucky author find for me. I really enjoy her writing and always get drawn deeply into her books. All I Want is You is another fantastic read with wonderful characters. Summary: Cayson Thompson has a wonderful life. He's well on his way to med school, has a tight-knit, loving family, and wonderful friends he trusts. He's definitely not ugly either. Everything would be perfect if he wasn't in love with his best girl friend or had a chance in hell of having something more with her. Cayson and Skye grew up together. Their families aren't related but they might as well be since they do every holiday together, and collaborate on everything. Keeping his feelings to himself hasn't been easy, but telling her would ruin the close relationship they share. Right? Skye Preston doesn't think she's ready for love or even knows what love is. Her boyfriend of six months isn't anything special, but more an intense attraction, and their relationship feels off somehow. While she has everyone in her family to fall back on, the only two men she relies on are her father and Cayson. Cayson is the best friend she's ever had, and she can tell him anything. At least she thought so until he started putting distance between them. The night Cayson comes to Skye's aide like a knight in shining armor after she gets drunk at a party, is the night everything changes between them. But is this change a good one or could it herald the end of a lifetime of friendship and family? Their decisions and actions won't only affect them, but also those closest to them, too. First, I love college romances. Second, after my initial confusion at the start, I could not put this book down. I'm sorry to say while I have read several of E.L.'s books from other series, I hadn't gotten to the Forever and Always series. This is sad both because I'm obviously missing out, but also because I've had it on my TBR for some time. Believe me, I'm headed straight for book one as soon as I finish this review. Now, I loved this installment which I finally figured out was about the children of the Forever and Always set. Cayson was an absolute dream, and I want him for Christmas! I loved his name, and the guy himself was indeed everything any girl dreams of. He was intelligent, observant, loving, sensitive, respectful, funny, sexy, and I could go on. The depth of his live really blew me away just simply because I felt it so clearly and it seems impossible for a guy his age. He took me on an emotional roller coaster ride, letting me feel everything he did. Skye, not gonna lie, irritated me a lot. I still loved her, but I honestly could not fathom how she didn't see what was straight in her face. I also wanted to bop her on the head for caving so easily to Zach. Saying that, she was still quite lovely. Smart, determined, hard working, down to Earth, loving, loyal, and beautiful. Witnessing her interactions with her dad, especially, was heartwarming and brought a smile to my face (true story. I even wrote a note in my book the moment I realized I was grinning like an idiot). Together, you could feel their connection when reading about them. It was beautiful and affecting to see considering Skye's parents courtship. Supporting cast was brilliant. I cannot wait to go back and get the parental set's stories. The newer generation was incredibly appealing. I especially loved Slade. The costume discussion had tears rolling down my cheeks, I was laughing so hard. He is gonna be a blast to read. The others in the group were also good. Trinity is sweet and rebellious, so I imagine her story will be wild (maybe with Slade **crosses fingers**). We also met Rolland, Clementine, Theo, Conrad, Thomas, and Silke. I also really loved Jasmine, and would love for her to get her HEA. Overall, the story was a pleasure to read and kept me hooked until the very last word. Not only will I be stalking E.L. for book 2, but I plan on getting started on Forever and Always as soon as possible. Great job E.L.!! Keep em comin'. <3

Really good read. Sweet story of 2 friends. Its always said if you let them go , if you suppose to be together they will come back. CAYSON AND SKYE live through a whole lot of pain before them came together.

Not original or a good read.

Clayson was such a sweetheart... someone everyone wishes they could find in another person. Skye was so frustrating, but also so deserving of her fate. The rest of the crew was so tight knit you envied their bonds. So glad I read this one ?

200 pages of build up. 5 pages of them excepting it

I love the books but feel like the story having to continue in several books is excessive to even get closure to any of the characters.

It was a very slow read no real action kinda boring after first few chpts. No excitement at all kinda dry already knew the ending before it happened.

Too juvenile for my tastes, dude! And rack and romance may both start with "R", but the similarities end there .

I liked it a lot... Took a minute to get into it when it was her side ...but his side had me melting.

Loved it. Didn't want to put the book down. Great characters, humor, emotion, devotion, and love.

This book was okay. Lots of corny scenes and cheesy dialogue. I was very confused by who is related and where all the characters fit in. Seems like a story I would have written in 8th grade for free write.

I enjoyed reading this book for many reasons. This is a very real book about relationships, both for the young and retired. It also dealt with the relationships between family and extended family, with the focus on the next generation of the mix.
