All of Me

All of Me

by John Pizzarelli

A family guitar showcase with guitarists Bucky Pizzarelli and John, Jr. playing jazz standards, light Afro-Latin, and some sentimental ballads. They're joined by a group with clarinetist Phil Bodner, Walt Levinsky, John Frosk, and Paul Faulice. It's nice, well done, soothing music.

From the emotional - and well-emoted - pathos of "In the Wee Small Hours" to his masterful presence among all the other instrumentalists and genres on this album, John Pizzarelli has got it going on! This is an ambitious CD, and it more than surpasses its goals.
