Thourough discussion on numerous topics that are typical components for an average building...then again what is average? This might help a person change some rebar, resize a concrete wall or answer some questions to the lender about quantities but what are the structural or hydrological ramifications of these actions? Mr. Schwartz has an excellent command of the english language but such does not supplant a 4 year degree in engineering with associated examinations to independantly practice before the public. If this book allows one person to realize they need more informed guidance, and procurement of an engineer saves one life-it is worth it.
