I was fortunate enough to see an advanced copy of this book. It is nothing short of outstanding. Survival kits have long been considered an integral part of wilderness living, this book boes beyond just a list of parts to how to choose parts, which parts to include for your uses, evaluation of many types of included gear and packing. It is a vital resource for anyone who enjoys survival lore or who wants to pack more safely in the woods. Get it!

Sparrowkit leaped up in the air, determined to succeed in reaching that leaf. The one that mean old Hickorypaw said she would never get. Sparrowkit bounded one last time and caught the bark above the leaf in her claws. But instead of celebrating she was panicing. She was slipping slowly but surely down, down, down. And then her paw slipped. She fell on top of Hickorypaw, twisting her paw and flattening Hickoypaw with a thump. Hickorypaw screamed and both their mothers and Sparrowkit's siblings, Badgerkit and Riverkit, came running. "She's dead!" Cried Hickorypaw's mother Cinderfeather. "Sparrowkit, what have you done?"accused her own mother Heatherbrush. "I- It was just a ga-"
"We all know you hated Hickorypaw. We cannot allow killers in Harshclan. I will have to inform Cruelstar immeadiantly"
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, come to Highbranch." Cried Cruelstar. Sparrowkit nervously approached with her siblings. "Sparrowkit" commanded Cruelstar "step forward. You have killed Hickorypaw. The punishment for that is immeadint banishment from Harshclan. Leave now."
"Wait!" Called Riverkit, "Badgerkit and I have decided to go too! Sparrowkit didn't kill her. But, Jerkstar, none of us wants to be in Stupidclan anyway." And with that the three siblings left Harshclan
"What now?" Questioned Badgerkit. "Um-" responded the other two. "Well- we could live in the wild?" Suggested Sparrowkit. "I have a better plan" interjected Riverkit "We could go from clan to clan to find the perfect home." The others agredd with Riverkit's plan. And off they went in search of a knew clan.
