It turns out that Michael Bublé's home away from home is the stage. Proof comes through both audio and visual means on this vibrant live recording. Backed by a kicking big band and cushioned by arrangements from such masters as Sammy Nestico, Johnny Mandel, Don Costa, Bill Holman, and Bill May, Bublé is in loving hands. He responds with his most vivid singing on any album to date. His trademark repertoire of tried-and-true standards ("I've Got You Under My Skin," "The More I See You") mixed with offbeat choices ("Can't Buy Me Love," "Crazy Little Thing Called Love") and contemporary fare ("A Song for You," "Moondance," "You'll Never Find Another Love like Mine") proves a winning ticket for the Canadian transplant. Bublé has competition these days for the race to become the next Harry Connick Jr., but this consistently enjoyable package shows he's quickly pulling into the lead.
