Overview

The Magic Jukebox sits in the Faulk Street Tavern in the quiet seaside town of Brogan's Point, Massachusetts. No one knows what classic rock songs will come out of the jukebox when a coin is inserted, but every now and then, the jukebox will play a song that casts a spell on two bar patrons-a song that will change their lives and open their hearts to love.Antiques dealer Diana Simms is engaged to her longtime boyfriend when she finds herself inside the Faulk Street Tavern. The song "Changes" emerges from the jukebox and enchants her. It also captivates Nick Fiore, a local guy who's arrived at adulthood the hard way, after a tour through the juvenile justice system. Now he's dedicated his life to helping other troubled kids. He has no business even looking at a beautiful, well-bred woman wearing a diamond engagement ring. But once they're bewitched by the jukebox, he and Diana must change their lives, their goals, their dreams...and their hearts.

A 135 page free tale with some fantasy and first in series of an old Wurlitzer jukebox in a tavern in a New England town that chooses the songs, and of a woman and man who 'hear' their song. But a little complication - she is there with her fiance to look at a wedding venue, and he is a reformed juvenile offender once accused of........ The story starts well but develops a little like a soap opera later in the story. Some adult language and an explicit sex scene. An excerpt for next in series is also included.

Based on the premise that a jukebox can "pick" songs to influence people's lives, this story takes a lot of interesting twists and turns. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I've now read the entire Magic Jukebox series. I have really enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing them dealing with issues and falling in love. I believe I got the first or second in the series for free. I know I paid $3.99 for each of the others. HOWEVER, had I known then what I know now, I would have saved my money. First, these stories are definitely not novels, not even novellas IMHO, and I used to teach English. I believe that four dollars is too much for a short story. It seemed to me that Arnold couldn't decide how to end most of these stories. So the hero confesses his love to the heroine, they embrace, and they all live HEA.

I liked it. I didn't need the descriptive sex scenes. The author could have added these without the details. Simone24

I' have read over half the box and it's a little above average. The main thing I want to know ( as if I didn't know already) is if Diana and Nick end up happly ever after.
