I love Dr. Ian since the first time that I saw him on Rachael Ray, that's why I gave the book five stars. The book itself... let's talk! While this is a common sense approach to eating, there is nothing earth-shattering about it. It adds in a component of intermittent fasting in addition to a clean eating approach. Menu plans are kinda sporadic. It simple enough that you can choose to have whole wheat pasta with sauce and protein or you can have a green salad. My suggestion, buy or borrow a copy of the book, The Hungry Chick Dieting Solution by Chef Jai Scovers that I found here on BN and do the seven-day challenge. I lost three pounds in what I found out was actually water weight gain by changing the way that I did two things, the size of my plates and how much water my body really needed. Then, I took on the 30-day challenge of tracking my meals and I was about to lose another 11 pounds and haven't added them back on even on my cheat days. It was tough at first, but I stuck it out. Had to check and see if my sweat pants were untied or were they really getting loose. If you are serious about losing weight buy The Hungry Chick Dieting Solution, not because I said so but because it actually works. Hope that this helps other people as much as it helped me.
