From the Chinese Chicken Salad to Sweet Chili and Mustard Salmon, you will fall in love with everything in this cookbook. Chrissy knows her way around a kitchen and more importantly, she knows good food. The only let down is the lack of sweets, she is the first to admit that she is not good with them, but who cares. When the food is this good, you won't need desserts. This book is a must have. Speaking of which, I also recommend that you buy, buy, buy a copy of a book that my mother bought my sister and I for Christmas. It's called Conquer Your Kitchen from Chef Jai. It is on sale here on BN. It offers time and money saving tips that will up your cooking game. I honestly don't know how I lived without it. I refer to it several times a week. Between these two books, you will want to get back in the kitchen to cook more often.
I've been using this book religiously for the past month. I plan out my recipes ahead, so what makes this book really easy to use is that she doesn't throw in new ingredients after each recipe. I only ever have to keep buying the meat for certain recipes, so once you get all of the essentials, hardly any grocery shopping is necessary. I'm in love with this book and the recipes it contains. I highly recommend this book to any food lover!
I was skeptical, thinking that this is just going to be another cookbook to add to my collection. Boy was I wrong, this cookbook will get lots of use. The recipes are easy to follow, use ingredients that you don't have to search high and low to find, and are not low-cal, low-carb no tastes foods. They are real down to earth recipes and I know I will be making practically all of them. Thank you Chrissy Teigen for keeping it real. From your use of some short cut ingredients ("rotochick"), to your little quips and bits of humor, this book has a place on my kitchen counter and not tucked away in the bookshelf.
Cravings is full of recipes that are full of flavor with a little bit of spice. Chrissy Teigen may be a supermodel but she know what good food is without starving yourself. With recipes like French Toast Casserole with Frosted Flakes to Guacamole with Cheese and even Frito Pie Bar, this book has everything that is supposed to bad for you but in a good way. I love cookbooks but I was kinda skeptical at first reading this due to the fact that Chrissy is a supermodel and every book that I have read by a supermodel is all low-fat, no carbs but this book is whole milk, real butter and everything that is good! I loved how Chrissy speaks her mind without holding anything back and this cookbook is my new favorite book to read to get ideas from. I can also say that i'm a Chrissy Teigen fan now and can't wait to see if she comes out with anymore books!! Thank You to Chrissy Teigen for writing this book that has excellent recipes that make you want to go to the kitchen, make theses recipes even if it is at 11 at night just to taste them.
