We read a devotion each morning on the car ride to school and try ot work in dinner devotions using a variety of different devotion material.  "Dig In" is one of the most enjoyable ones - for everyone.  It is written in a simple style and is easy to understand...even for the littlest ones.  The variety of "Chomp on This!", prayers, etc. at the end of each devotion is engaging.  Most importantly, it has the correct balance of the bad news about our sin and struggles...and good news about how Jesus loves each of the world's individuals.  Thank you for this great resource!

Everything about this book is engaging to our family, thank you Linda and Time of Grace! I had my 10 year old sit down and check it out; he read ahead quite a bit and really enjoyed it. In a world full of distractions, it's a great tool to help us refocus on the purpose of our lives with fun and meaningful conversation based on Scripture. This is a devotional that will be used more than once in our home and shared with others, too!

Linda Buxa's "Dig In!" brings to family tables a devotional that can be easily read before or after the family meal. Why not during dessert? This book encourages families to not only read God's Word but to discuss it together. God's Word isn't only to be read but to be talked about and lived! What a great habit to encourage in our children before their teen years! "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:5-7 Sometimes as parents we forget what life and it's concerns are like from the perspective of our children. Linda brings that perspective back to the parents to relate. She has a kid's heart! Aren't children the greatest in our Father's kingdom? (Matthew 18:1-5) Let's feed their appetites not only physically but spiritually too! Thank you Linda!  - Amanda @HolyHenHouse

My family has been reading from "Dig In!" for our nightly devotions, and it carries a wonderful message for all of us.  We have a 13 and an 11 year old, and it has fun and thoughtful life lessons from which we all can draw encouragement.  The best parts of each devotion are the large sections of Scripture that are integrated with each lesson.  Every devotion takes those verses and makes them real and fun and applies them to situations in our own lives.  We've all enjoyed it and look forward to "the next one" each time we read from it.

We have just started to "dig in" to this devotion book and have enjoyed how the devotions really speak to our kids through a wide range of topics and types of devotions. The book fits the ages of the kids in our family and each devotion is a great length to read after dinner. I can't wait to find more of the fun styles of devotions (I admit. . . I did sneak ahead a read a few "extras" one day).

I love that this devotional book has everyday kid topics and is very kid friendly!  There are some serious topics, as well as lighthearted and funny ones.  I really enjoyed reading the By Kids for Kids.  Who knew there was a National Grouch Day? This is a book I will be sharing with my family and friends.

Minions and parties and sweets- oh, my! Finally, a kid's devotional with fun AND Jesus! As a Christian teacher for 30 years, this is the book I was always hoping for. With the perfect mix of the contemporary and classic, Linda reaches out to kids with God's Word, the only real solution in their day-to-day- issues. She points them to Jesus as the way to heaven, the Holy Spirit as their source of faith and God the Father and his extreme love. And they get to eat ice cream on the way!
