A musical language course for people on the go

Convinced that you don’t have time to learn Italian? Think again.

Drive & Learn Italian
uses catchy melodies and musical rhythms to teach you basic Italian expressions and vocabulary. As you follow a fictitious character through a typical day, you will master the Italian you need in everyday situations. But instead of laboriously studying monotonous phrases and vocabulary, you will literally sing Italian into your memory!

These ten brief lessons are designed to fit into your hectic lifestyle. You can listen and learn at home; at the gym; in your car; on a plane; or even on your lunch break. Drive & Learn Italian contains two CDS of musical language lessons and a book transcript of the complete audio course.

For commuters—or anybody who wishes that they had the time to learn a language!

I bought this to refresh my Italian and it did the job very nicely

A great introduction to Italian. It's was especially helpful that a little book was included so I could read along. For those of you who complained about the music, it's a language CD, not Beyonce's greatest hits. Geeze!

I LOVE this course! I listened to it while commuting to and from work every day, and now I can speak Italian! The tunes are catchy (albeit somewhat corny at times), and there is a sort-of story line. I'd recommend this to anyone! I've also purchased the Drive and Learn German to brush up on my skills... A great deal for the money!

The catchy tunes help you remember the phrases. Sure the story may be a little silly, but take it for what it's worth, it's helping you learn Italian, and I have a bit of a silly side so I don't mind singing about the weather in Italian! For the price it's definately a great tool.

The context was good/average, but the music and singing are so annoying that at times it was hard to listen to. I was expecting music with an Italian flair but instead the tunes are childish and off key and just plain annoying. I do not recommend this CD-no matter how inexpensive it is-there are better alternatives out there and for the same price.

The music is very childish. The teaching goes very fast, but you can learn common phrases. It was cheap, so I wouldn't say it is not worth the cost.

I enjoy singing along with the people who are teaching Italian, it makes it easy for me to graps the language. The CD's are cleverly done in a way that I feel that it is making it more enjoyable to learn useful phrases and words.

We bought this CD while on a road trip. It became very annoying after a very short while and there where too many phrases to remember, so consiquently our Italian isn't any better than when we started.

This didn't turn out to be a useful tool for learning Italian.

I do recommend it. It provides much of the basic Italian you"ll need.

This was better for an Italian learning English! The music was annoying. The story was poor (who needs a story?). I found myself paying more attention to the English than the Italian. Don't waste your money.

I've been to Italy a couple of times and plan on going again soon so I wanted to learn some basic words to help me get around in Italy. I've never taken a formal Italian language class and have no basic knowledge of the language. This cd is not the one to learn from. It may be good as a refresher for someone who has previously taked Italian but it did not help me at all. I plan on returning it to the store soon.

I can't say that I could necessarily recommend this series. I think that it definitely has potential to be helpful. The songs used to teach the language are catchy and memorable...if you can get far enough past their irksome quality to actually listen to them. I've found the cds to be most helpful when I can read along with the booklet, but obviously, you can't drive and do that. So if you're a purely auditory learner and you are not easily annoyed, or if you already know the language and just want a cheap refresher, then I guess, what do you have to lose? Only about $10.

I was attracted to this set because of the affordable price, but was also skeptical that a $9.99 language course would be of much value. In retrospect, I'd say I got my money's worth and more. Each of the two CDs includes five lessons lasting 10-12 minutes, for a total instruction time of about two hours. But the lessons cram in a lot of vocabulary, and the sing-along approach makes listening fun. There's even a storyline to add to the entertainment value. I found this much superior to the dry, 'listen and repeat' approach used by many language courses. This set won't make you a fluent Italian speaker, but it covers many of the basics, and has interested me in continuing to a more advanced course.
