The Ray Dennis Steckler/Joe Bob Briggs DVD machine just keeps on rolling, this time in the form of the 500-dollar low-budget screamer Blood Shack. The group at Shriek Show once again delivers the goods on the extras, starting with Joe Bob's commentary track, where he virtually schools the viewer on the hilarious gaffs and behind-the-scenes tales of this outlandish B-picture. Two different versions of the film are also included, starting with the 55-minute trimmed-down print of Blood Shack, as well as the 80-minute original cut, The Chooper, that can be found in the extras menu. Steckler himself appears all over the disc, starting with his commentary track and continuing with two interview segments, one just with Steckler and the other reuniting the director with his old flame and leading girl, Carolyn Brandt. A photo gallery can also be accessed, with production stills and various video box covers scrolling along with none other than the movie's title song. With an as-good-as-it-gets presentation on all video and audio sources along with these high-caliber extras, extreme genre lovers will flip for this fine package deal. With a Joe Bob Briggs stamp of approval, how can you go wrong?
