Fantasia Anthology

Fantasia Anthology

DVD (Pan & Scan / Black & White / Wide Screen / Dolby 5.1 / Thx)

In honor of Fantasia's 60th anniversary, Disney released Fantasia 2000, an updated and revised version of the film with even more spectacular visual effects and music. Viewers can now see both these films, along with a painstaking behind-the-scenes look at their production, in the three-disc Fantasia Anthology collection. The two films themselves are rich, with well-produced visual menus and English and French captions, Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound, and detailed chapter selections that include narrated introductions to each short film and its music. A navigational booklet is also included for those interested in the updated version of the film. The most extraordinary special feature is the supplemental DVD, Fantasia Legacy, which offers a complete look at the inception and creation of these two visual and auditory masterpieces. All of this information may seem like too much to digest. Fortunately, the package includes a printed map that allows viewers to find their way easily through all the supplemental materials. The Fantasia Anthology is a must for Disney fans, classical music lovers, or anyone inspired by the process of creativity.
