While the film is not a disaster on the level of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the Paul McCartney-scripted vanity project Give My Regards to Broad Street is certainly one of the lesser films associated with any of the Beatles. The film gets its first DVD release from 20th Century Fox presented in a pair of transfers. The widescreen anamorphic transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1, and is preferable to that standard full-frame image. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 4.0 Surround, while French and Spanish soundtracks have been recorded in Mono. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. The special features are limited to a pair of trailers, one seen domestically and the other internationally. Beatlemaniacs will appreciate having this disc available to them, but there is little here for the average fan.
