Moonrise Kingdom is a special gem of a movie.  Filled with whimsy and heart.  Humor and sweetness interwoven to create a very wonderful movie that will stay with you until the last drop of the last scene. Very special, wonderfully quirky and so highly recommended.  Also, filled with wonderful New England landmarks!

I was surprised but I really enjoyed this movie.  I stumbled upon the ending of this movie on HBO and had recorded a later showing to watch the whole thing. It's simple and fun and I just really liked the feel or vibe of the whole thing.  It was well done.

Delightful all the way through--and don't miss the music/narration at the end of the credits too!

Wonderful movie. The most original screenplay that has been produced in a long time. This movie should win the Oscar for the most original screenplay. I am surprised that it had not gotten greater coverage by the media. Will become a classic "sleeper" movie.

Absolutely awful. An insult to anyone who loves movies, who appreciates the wisdom of adulthood, who reveres a good story well told. A sad, trite nothing that worships children in all things. Message to those behind this movie - children are not the best guides on anything. Get over the ageism, and grow up. Another Anderson therapy movie, where he uses the audience to work out his issues. Avoid like the plague.

This movie is unsuitable for children and was offensive to my family. Language, drinking, and sexual situations were very accepted by children in this movie. Would never recommend it to anyone.
