An ordinary teenager finds out he's not so ordinary after all in this comedy-adventure. Will Stronghold (Michael Angarano) has his share of anxieties about starting high school, but once he arrives on campus, he discovers he's attending Sky High, a special learning facility for the children of superheroes. Will realizes his father is actually super-human crime fighter Captain Stronghold (Kurt Russell), while his mom is fellow champion Josie Jetstream (Kelly Preston). However, in Will's first few days at school, Coach Boomer (Bruce Campbell) is unable to discover any superior abilities in him, meaning that instead of joining the school's budding heroes, he's been relegated to the ranks of the lowly sidekicks. In time, Will discovers he happens to have super strength after all, but will he learn to hone his new gifts in time to fend off the bullies at school, get the girl of his dreams, and save his folks from a longtime nemesis? Sky High also features Lynda Carter, Dave Foley, and Kevin McDonald.

I liked this movie a lot,I don't think that this is the kind of movie that everyone would love though. Yes,it is far fetched, but I still enjoyed it. I would recommend it to mostly kids and teens, but I do know a couple of adults who have enjoyed it too. Watch it and then write a review like me!

This movie blends Super Power situations with typical teen drama and coming of age situations. It has many references to the classic super heroes, but doesn't have any. All the characters were new. In a world with abundance of super heroes 2 stood out - The Commander and Jetstream. Jetstream could fly, at supersonic speed. She also had mastered unarmed combat. The Commander was pretty much invulnerable, and high level super strength. These 2 were a famous team, the entire planet knew them. Their civilian names were Steve Stronghold and Josie Stronghold, and they had a son Will Stronghold. Everyone assumed Will would have superpowers, but he'd yet manifest any, and had hidden that from his parents. He was about to start Sky High, and was powerless. His oldest friend, Layla, however had high level powers. She could control plants. When exactly Layla fell in love Will is unclear. It was obvious to anyone just meeting them. Will had years of preconceptions about the 2 of them. He wouldn't learn how she felt until near the end of the movie. When arriving a Sky High they met the rest of the main characters. Penny had cloning power - she could make duplicates of herself. Lash had stretching power. Speed's name and power were the same. Warren Peace had Pyrokinesis. Finally Gwen Grayson, she could control technology with her mind. They'd all been at Sky for awhile. Lash and Speed were the school bullies. Warren was a loner and bad ass. Penny was a one girl cheer leading squad. Gwen highly involved in school activities. Once in school Will, Layla and the others were sorted into 2 categories. Officially they Hero and Sidekick, unofficially they were impressive powers and unimpressive. Layla refused to participate and Will was powerless, both were dumped with the sidekicks. Will's life changed when Lash tripped him, causing him to crash into Warren. Warren's dad was a super villain, who been captured by Will's parents. He hated his dad, but held a grudge against Will's family. When a fight broke out between them, other sidekicks came to Will's aid and were about to be roasted. Then, without any thought, Will picked Warren up and threw him across the room. Super Strength surged through his entire body. Later Will and Warren would be teamed up in a combat simulation. They actually made a good team, and humiliated Speed and Lash in the process. Next came the school dance. As Gwen stood on stage she revealed who she really was, a villainess named Royal Pain. After revealing her identity, she used her powers to encase herself in cybernetic armor. The body suit portion of the armor gave her flight capacity and augmented strength. The helmet had a permanent expression of malevolence on it. Before the entire dance she forsaked her natural beauty, and turned herself into a monster. The following battles were between Will and Royal Pain, Layla and Penny, and Warren and Speed. Warren easily roasted Speed. Layla had never wanted to use her powers for violence, but when attacked by Penny she finally stepped up. She filled an entire room with massive clinging vines, capturing Penny and all her clones. During Will's battle with Royal Pain, her bionic armor let her throw him out a window. Believing herself triumphant she turned to finish Layla and Warren. Then to everyone's surprise Will flew in through the window. He'd gained his mom's power also. He flew straight at Royal Pain, knocked off her feet, and then shattered her helmet with a single blow. Will, Warren, and Layla had saved Sky High. Warren had overcome his dad's evil reputation, and become close friends with Will. Will had surpassed both his parents, and become a Hero himself. Layla had overcome her reservations. At the end of the movie she was both how and where she'd always wanted to be - by Will's side and in his arms.

this was not that bad of a typical disney movie but intersting enough. though totally predicable and sometimes annoying. love danielle "liked her in stuck in the suburbs where i first noticed her" and michael "who was cute in little secrets and speak" but wanted to see a bit more of steven as warren (going to watch the covenant soon and kinda reminds me of josh hartnet when he was in the faculty for some reason) who's one of my favorite characters in the movie next to layla.

This is a great movie - the affects are wonderful and a must buy if you are a fan of superheroes. Every character has a different special ability so you can imagine the insanity. Bruce Campbell is perfect as the high school gym teacher that everyone hates. Definitely check this out!
