Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

This movie was a turning point in the Star Trek Saga, and as usual had massive Social Observation. The Federation and Klingon Empire were at a turning point. A point where their current beliefs, political and social states had to either change or die. Many on both sides preferred death - causing or experiencing it. Members of both sides had lost too many family members and friends to the long conflict between Klingons and Federation. Kirk and Spock were forced to face the possibility that they were close to that. That they'd reached the point where they'd out lived everything that made them useful. They wondered if they were too set in their ways to face the possibility of changed. The Klingons in this one were in between the ones in the Original Series and Next Generation. Some were physically that way. Possessing smaller and less defined forehead ridges. Star fleet was in a similarly state. It was in between a primarily military state and the exploration organization of Next Gen. Era. The climax of the movie is a very memorable battle between the Enterprise, Excelsior and a prototype Bird of Prey. Then the Enterprise crew saves the lives of the Klingon Chancellor and the Federation President. Setting in motion the events that lead to the alliance between Federation and Klingons that exists in Picards Era.

This was by far the best of ALL star trek movies. No comparison. Great ending for the TOS crew, and excellent set up for the next movie.... YEA SULU!!

This Star Trek stands out from the others. General Chang is the best villain. The climax was unforgettable. I was on the edge of my seat through-out the movie.

i was born sept 8,1966, just like the original star trek series. i have a certain nostalgia for the original cast and crew and series. captain kirk was my view of reality. i hated to see it all come to an end in this movie, the last segment with the original crew. we miss it, we loved it. it was a movie that came out when the only terrorists were imagined and there was always a happy ending.

I really loved Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and I think it was a great piece of work. I think the final film with Kira and crew was great!

The perfect ending to the first ever Star Trek series. Nicholas Meyer did another master piece dealing with peace between the Klingons and the Federations.

This is really a GOOD MOVIE and did ''make up'' for the disaster in STV easily.This final of the STAR TREK films takes another page from real life and puts the United Federation Of Planets and the Klingons in the place of the United States Of America and the Russians.This film has it all,from good writing to good acting,from good action to good plot.There are MANY good points to this film,and even some of them were not shown to the viewing public until this video release which has a few extra minutes of footage.From the beginning dedication to the great Gene Roddenberry(who saw the whole film and gave it his OK before he passed away in late 1991) to the official ''sign off'' by the cast at the end, this film IS A KEEPER.There are some silly bits here,but they are not damaging to the story or the acting talents of this great cast that spent 25 years together.There is action with the battle between the ''EVIL'' Klingons and both the U.S.S.Enterprise and the U.S.S.Excelsior commanded by CAPT.SULU,as well as the emotion of race relations.THIS WAS A FINE END TO THE 25 YEARS OF THE GREAT ''STAR TREK ERA''.
