The reviews of the movie Swept Away were not the greatest, which proves once again that you cannot rely on the movie critics. The movie, in fact, was amazing, and Madonna played very well. One of the best romantic comedies in a long time!!! Very funny, and really brings out many deep feelings from the heart. It will stay in your mind for a long time after you watch it.

This movie just goes to show that critics can't see past the end of their own nose. Guy Ritchie again makes a great movie and Madonna is great as the rude and snotty wife. One of the best scenes has to be where Madonna dances on the island with a full band. Brilliant color and cinematography!

The reason I gave this film 3 stars has nothing to do with Madonna's acting or Ritchie's directorial style. In fact, I enjoyed Madonna in this role. I thought she played the part of spoiled rich wife to a tee. It was her co-star's acting, Adriano Giannini, that I couldn't stomach. His delivery of certain lines were so bizarre that I couldn't help but laugh, even when it wasn't supposed to be funny. I just couldn't take his character seriously, and therefore it brought down the movie. So to all those critics who insist on bashing Madonna's acting, you should actually watch the movie because she's the one who gave the best performance in this film.

Madonna can act in some movies: dick tracy, four rooms, desperately seeking susan. Her character in swept away requires the bad actress side of madonna, I just want to say that since I like her. The fashion in this movie is great. Even Guy Ritchie fans might not enjot this flick from him.
