Recommend the movie. Based on the book of the same name with good acting and a heart warming ending. And recommend the other version of Railway Children.

Extraordinary high quality photography of well selected locations. A pleasure that increases with repeated viewing. A 1970 masterpiece of image technology superior to most DVD productions of today. The acting is pretty British Theatre which absorbs the audience. Jenny Agutter is superb in both productions. The photography is complemented by most appropriate musical backgrounds. In comparison with the recent same title by Exon Masterpiece Theatre the plot mises continuity in some instances leaving empty spaces. Not a significant minus. This DVD is a valuable addition to any collection. A treat to be enjoyed individually or with company plus a good wine.
