EMT--Basic Exam based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
I brought this book 2 months ago and after completing it, I found that I did learn some new information; however, the questions did not resemble the NREMT exam. The questions were either really simple or gave too much information and some even had some wrong information since it was out of date. I took the NREMT yesterday and passed, but I would say it had nothing to do with this book. I studied my materials from my class and went to study groups. I guess if you are looking for a review and practicing your test taking skills then yes, this book was helpful, but if you want a resemblance of the NREMT then no. I did buy other study books and I didn't find them as helpful as this one (for example I brought the Kaplan one and it contained really dumb questions). out of all the study books I would say this is pretty helpful with lots of practice exams. I would recommend the Barron's one more because it seemed to contain more challenging questions. I would say there is not a study book that resembles the NREMT. The NREMT had short, vague questions and some questions that you would not expect.
