After running away from a boy's home run by the Catholic Church, the Marquis Brothers run into trouble everywhere they turn. Jacob becomes disillusioned by his Church. He blames the Church for his hardships, and his father for abandoning them. But God must be looking out for them, and later realizes the Church has nothing to do with his situation. His family is torn apart and scattered all over. Jacob wonders if he will ever see them again. God only knows, but at least we still have each other, his brother Isaac reminds him.
