Overview

Now you won't have to wait for the TV series to hit HBO. Here's a fascinating-often times hilarious-compilation of insurance fraud cases, some so outrageous, so utterly bizarre and crazy, you'll have a hard time believing them. But it's all true-direct from the private confidential files of one of the nation's top investigators. It represents the best of the best cases Don Delaney has handled.

There isn't a scheme, scam, sham, or flimflam that the author hasn't dealt with over his thirty year career of both investigating and advising on settlements. But through it all, Delaney's reputation for scrupulous honesty and fairness has won him the trust ( and accolades) of everyone: insurers, claimants, and the courts. Here is insider's account you won't want to miss.

What a great read! Delaney is a natural story-teller who has a deep familiarity with the sordid underside of insurance fraud.Besides the amusing and often outrageous stories,Delaney is a gifted raconteur with a distinctive and eclectic style, equally at home referring to former French statesman George Clemenceau or the hapless Chicago Cubs. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this book.

Twenty years of commercial lending made this title very interesting to me, as fraud is always lurking in my industry as well as the insurance industy. But while this book will definitely enlighten the reader to seemingly every imaginable scheme to defraud, you sure don't have to be in insurance, investigative or business in general to like this one as it is simply flat out enjoyable to read. What makes it so interesting, yet fun, is that this easy to read collection of stories are all true. Throw on top of that the authors brilliant knack for describing the perpetrators, and their behaviors, and you have a formula that will make the laugh out loud often. This book is a can't miss.
