Funk Soul USA

Funk Soul USA

Funk Soul USA features a number of classic funk, soul, and R&B songs interspersed with a number of vintage television and movie snippets. Some of the highlights here include the Gap Band's "You Dropped a Bomb on Me," Rick James' "Super Freak," Kool & the Gang's "Jungle Boogie," James Brown's "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a Sex Machine)," the Trammps' "Disco Inferno," and Rose Royce's "Car Wash." The snippets that intersperse these songs are always entertaining and brief. They're fun the first few listens but tend to become somewhat of a nuisance upon repeated listens. In the end, though, this collection tends to be one of the more colorful compilations out there.
