This simple and beautiful board book is a wonderful choice for babies and preschoolers. My experience is that babies love seeing pictures of other babies. The varied, colorful clothing worn by the babies in the book adds more visual interest. Older children will learn to appreciate the beautiful variety of babies from all over the world. They can learn the names of several other countries. Most importantly, they learn that just as they are loved and valued, so are all children, no matter where they live.

SummaryBabies all around the world with different cultures and background share something in common. Each picture has a colorful background and the baby dressed in their culture, the pictures are very rich details. On each page their it tells a short discription of how different their cultures are they all share something in common. My ResponseThis is a great book for small children maybe age 4-7 years old. The pictures are very colorful and show their traditional clothing and background. This is a very good book for anti bullying that shows no matter what your background may be all people share something in common. I would recommend this book for small children.Classroom Extension1)Ask students what all the babies had in common.2)What traditional clothing did they like the most and was the clothing good for hot or cold weather.

The Global Fund for Children, a non-profit organization, gathered photographs of babies from around the world into this chunky board book. A single sentence continuing throughout the book celebrates babies. Each child is identified by their country of origin, and is wearing traditional garb. Some culturally sensitive parents may have qualms about the exoticization of non-US cultures, but wee children will delight in looking at tiny faces like their own.

Beautiful pictures of babies from all over the world. Great one to recognize that babies from all over are beautiful. Also the story is very simple and perfect to actually read to a baby since they like looking at pictures of other babies and the text is so little that it doesn't distract them.

This is the second copy of this book my 18 mo old nephew has owned. This first copy was loved until the pages stuck together. He enjoys looking at the babies and will look for this book so his Mother can 'read' it to him. There is no story just wonderful pictures.

A friend gave us this book when our oldest was born. It is well done and a fabulous way to expose kids to other countries and cultures from early on. Both of our kids have loved it as babies and toddlers and now it is a great way to look up countries on the world map as well. I would HIGHLY recommend it!

I wish there were more books like this for kids! This has become my official new baby gift. I include it in all shower and welcome baby gifts. It was the first book my son really loved to read at just about 6 months old. He still likes this book at over a year old. I love that it exposes him to what people look and dress like all over the world.

This is a book of baby faces; faces of all colors from all around the world. Most show native dress. In a world where we need to promote international understanding in the hopes that small children may grow to find a more peaceful world, this book in a first step to learning about different cultures. My one year old granddaughter loves to look at all the faces. I highly recommend it!
