I rather enjoyed this reference on the Greco-Roman Gods and fabled heroes of their period. It goes into a lot of detail about their myths. I highly recommend it.

I've been looking for a book that covers the stories in greek mythology for a while now. I decided to go with this one since it has such great reviews. Once I started flipping through the pages I realized the book is extremely boring. The stories are not told in an entertaining way. I expected to read stories about greek Gods with colorful wording and details. That's not what this book gives. The stories are very straight to the point and bland. The author also gives various versions of the same story which I don't like. I was also disappointed to find out the book doesn't start with the creation and move into the Titans. Instead, it puts the Gods in alphabetical order and basically focuses on the Olympians. With the Gods being in alphabetical order you have to put together the storyline on your own. This can become annoying for those that don't know which God's story comes next or who to even start with. Overall, I'm very unsatisifed, would not recommend this book to anyone, and wish I could get my money back.

It's a good book with a lot of information, and it' s a great book. for mythology lovers like me. But don't read the whole thing, skip ariund. It's a better idea than reading the whole thing because it has a lot of information about one topic and you don'really need all of it. But overall it's good because it has good myths in it and it is jam packed with information.
