Although I must commend the author for creating a complicated and engaging plot, I can say little for the rest of his work, particularly characterization. The characters at best fullfill stereotypes and at worst are simply sickening. The ending is an exciting Shakespearian bloodbath but leaves you feeling lost and exceedingly depressed. Not good for a deep read!
