I purchased this sketchbook for an online class on artistic journaling. So far it has stood up well to being gessoed, covered with acrylics, gel medium, paper collage, ink, and everything else I have thrown on the pages. (I found out that it is a good idea to put a piece of saran wrap between the pages when you gesso so they don't stick.) The paper resembles a high-quality yellow cardstock. I like the size of this sketchbook which makes it easily portable, and I also like the elastic bookmark/closure strap. When this Moleskine is full, I will be buying another.

This is, by far, the best sketchbook I have come across. The texture of the paper is perfect, allowing for even strokes and effective smudging and shading. I have been able to use both ink and pencil in this book, with beautiful outcomes in both mediums. The size is perfect as well, and the spine construction allows for easy sketching (you aren't constantly fighting to flatten the book out when drawing). Definitely recommend for all levels of artists: you won't be disappointed.

I bought this to use as an art/sketchbook/journal. The binding is very sturdy and the paper is a very nice quality. I also love the elastic strap to keep it closed because I tend to throw it in my bag and go.

It may just be the rich history of creative minds that have used this product. It maybe the thought of joining that royal fraternity of artists we have all read about. One thing is for sure, the look and feel of this when you are in a meeting with clients helps project an image of "I know what I am doing". It helps create an air of artistic professionalism that is priceless for your own personal brand in the marketplace. This should be a must for any serious artist.

This sketchbook is so nice that I almost didn't want to draw anything in it. The paper and cover are of the highest quality. Great for drawings that you want to last. I would definitely recommend it.

This is the book I always use as my journals, Paint and decorate the covers, paint or decorate the pages and make daily (almost) entries----and carry the smaller version in my purse for any quick notes, sketches, information.

As an illustrator, I have always used them. This time it was a gift for my husband, he loves his first Moleskine and is filling it quickly. He says he now understands why I carry mine everywhere. Now he does too!

While I employ a variety of sketchbooks, the rigid, acid free, yellowish paper to these sketchbooks allows the 2D artist to maximize the use of basic pencils and fountain pens. Only the strongest felt-tip pens will bleed through. An essential traveling sketchbook for sure!

This is the best Journal I have ever write on, the quality of the paper and the thickness are perfect to write with my favorite fountain pen, I take mine everywhere!!!

This is a great unlined notebook! My only wish is that the pages werewolf a tad thicker, as some of my nicer pens show through to the reverse and therefore reduce the usable page number.
