I Finally Found Someone ought to be the first of many duet albums for the wonderfully simpatico Lorrie Morgan and Sammy Kershaw. Kershaw has a lot of George Jones in his nasal, husky voice -- a quality that plays off well against Morgan's throaty, uncommonly delicate tone. When the two blend in sweet harmony on a tender love song -- such as the title track and "Be My Reason" -- the passion is convincing and heartrending. The duo gets a little feisty on the Tex-Mex-flavored "He Drinks Tequila" ("He drinks tequila/and she talks dirty in Spanish"), and their engaging flirtatiousness raises the room temperature more than a few degrees. The album also showcases the two artists solo, on three cuts each. Kershaw shines on an easygoing, countrified take on the evergreen "What a Wonderful World," but it's Morgan who really stands out. "Big Time" is in the mold of her classic, spiteful kiss-offs to departing beaus, while the poignant "29 Again" finds her at her best in a bluesy, introspective mode, pondering the passing of time and the number it does on a woman's psyche. Plenty to hang your hat on here, as two veteran artists deliver the goods, together and apart.

Congratulations to whoever decided to team this duo up. Have been a long standing fan of Lorrie and Sammy as solo artist's, but this combination is something else. If you want a current duo to follow the previous Country Great Duo's, then they are it. They combine and compliment each other on every track they sing be it romantic or humourous.
