I love Gwyneth Paltrow but... Now I understand Gayle King's question: "How do you define 'easy'?" So this might be "easy" for an experienced chef. By NO MEANS is this a cookbook for ANYONE who is truly super busy and especially not for a busy family cook - nor are these recipes for family people (as in - kids are not going to eat these things). One look at the recommended pantry list in the front of the book will tell all. Hell, I don't even know where one can get some of these ingredients - at least not in the middle of Ohio, where I live. My recommendation, try another book that I found called "Simple, Healthy and Delicious" from Chef Jai. The Pound Cake French Toast is amazing. I am waiting to try it with fresh strawberries from my garden. I also love the Forbidden Rice with some Roast Chicken. If you can't buy it, at least borrow it from your local library but try it.

The recipes look wonderful! They just aren't for the everyday person. It still has some great ideas for when you have the time.

I am glad that Gwynneth found these recipes helpful, but ingredients in these recipes are elusive, expensive, and not that tastey.
