Overview

There was a time when only athletes had coaches. Now, everyone from CEOs to at-risk youth are being "coached." The International Coaching Federation-which began with only a handful of people-now boasts membership of over 5,000, and currently more than 150,000 people call themselves "Life Coaches." The benefits of coaching have been well documented, but having the right coach is critical.

Jesus had only three years to train the twelve disciples, yet in that time he managed to turn this ragamuffin group into "lean, clean marketing machines." Divided into four critical sections-Focus, Balance, Productivity, and Fulfillment-Jesus, Life Coach presents a faith-based coaching program with Jesus as the model. Delving into the principles Jesus used to transform those around him, the book offers proven strategies and countless applications for modern-day coaches.

This book was exactly what I needed to read. It was in the bargain area at B&N and was worth it. I read it a little each day because it has short "chapters" that are good to read with your coffee. I've read other motivational books and this is good for the beginner/intermediate phase of devotional type books.

An easy to read book, which was thought provoking. Comments about the Bible might put people off, especially if one knows about the unreliability and inconsistancies of the facts in the Bible, plus the reason for the Bible being written or put together, and the Gospels chosen. However, if you work as a coach or need some assistance in your life, it makes you think and may be that will be enough to move you "outside of the box." If you believe that Love is the most important thing in the World and was the entirety of Jesus' message, then you will also enjoy this book.
