Words cannot describe how good this book is. I went on a emotional journey the whole way through. I laughed, I cried, and was completely in awe about how this story ended. I did not, could not put this book down. Every question you may have had while following this series was answered and yes their were deaths of characters you came to love. It’s unbelievable the way SJM connects us with her books and this being the last in the series was the most enjoyable and gratifying. Buckle up because with this book you will goon a emotional ride but it’s totally worth it.

To say I am sorry to have this series end is an understatement. Sarah has ended this story beautifully. Not rushed, with heartache, with love, and with the surprises that I expect and anticipate from Aelin. I wish I could continue reading how everyone's lives continue from the end but I know it is the end. But at least in dreams we can imagine how their stories continue. Thank you Sarah J Maas for an excellent story and I cant wait to read what you have next in store.

Kingdom of Ash, the final installment of the Throne of Glass series, is more than I could have hoped for or imagined. Sarah J. Maas is a literary genius in how she wove together such an intricate and complex world that stole my heart and soul. Thank you, Maas, for gifting this world with the world your mind so brilliantly thought up.

The best series I have read in a very long time. A mix of Game of thrones and Lord of the rings but a totally different plot! I’ve never read a book twice but I think I may start these books over from the very beginning!

Amazing story. Beautiful way to end it. Life is never easy and this story definitely reflects that. It also reflects the joy that it is to live and love. Thank you!

This is one of the best series I’ve read. I bought the hard book series to keep in my Library for ages to come, to ew-read and share with friends. This series was not predictable, which is One of the things I loved about it, it was written so well I could not put them down once I began.

Great ending! I love that there was real, meaningful and lasting sacrifice in this series, as much as it broke my heart and made me ugly cry. This is an element I found lacking in the court of thorns and roses series, and I worried that lack of complexity would show up here too. However, the scope was epic, the loose ends were all tied up, and it felt real and meaningful- the war also felt appropriately tense and dangerous. I think this genre often falls prey to making conflict strangely flat and two-dimensional, but the war between Morath and the rest of the world was well handled.

I was hoping for a good conclusion to this series and let me tell you, Maas delivered. Although there were some issues, this book was worth all the time I spent waiting on it and reading it. I can't wait to see what Maas comes up with next. Aelin has risked everything in order to save her kingdom, but those sacrifices haven't eased anything from her. Including her freedom. After being captured, she is being tortured by Maeve and her cohorts. It Rowan and the rest of Aelin's court is desperate to get back to her. As they work together to get their Queen back, the war to end all wars is brewing. There will be bloodshed. And lots of it. My number one complaint about this was the length. Good Lord I felt like I was reading this forever. I even found myself having to take breaks because I kept getting overwhelmed, like the continuous reading I was doing wasn't getting me anywhere. For the most part, I really feel like it could have been cut down a considerable amount. The first 300 pages suffered because she tried drawing it out. (I say 300 because I didn't write my first update until 253...) I felt bored and didn't really see much of anything happening. And once things did start happening, I was a bit disappointed in the ending. The ENTIRE BOOK is about this huge war that's brewing and then the main climax is about 30 pages. THIS BOOK IS 980 PAGES. I just didn't care for how it kept having this huge build up and then the ending was over in the blink of an eye. However, I did love being back with the gang again. It was such a joyous occasion to be with them all one final time. I won't go more into this because I don't want to spoil anyone, but I will say this, I was impressed with everyone's story arcs. Not just in this book, but the entire series. I loved seeing them grow together and seeing how each book in this series could tie back in to this one. It was really fun to be able to put together all the little threads that fit together from this entire series. This wasn't the 10 star read I was expecting, but I those that loved this series from the beginning, I can see how they would fall for this one. Looking back at the series as a whole, I loved getting to know these characters and I can't wait to see what amazing things Maas does next. You can be sure I will be adding it to my TBR!

I am usually not one to write reviews for the books I read even those I absolutely adore. This story; however, deserves so much more than to read it and love it by myself. This story from start to finish was such an incredible journey, and I have never felt completely satisfied by a last installment to a series. Every relationship and every character development was flawlessly ended. An ending that despite the pain it brought was perfect for every character in the book. I am so sad to have this series end, but extremely happy with the ending that left me smiling at a closed book.

In the book Kingdom of Ash, in the “Throne of Glass” series, (2018), New York Times bestselling author, Sarah J. Maas, brings readers back into the sensational world she so artfully crafted throughout her amazing fictional book series. Maas captures readers, adult and young adult, all over the globe with her lovable characters, unique unexpected plot, and tasteful writing. Aelin Galathynius, Queen of Terrasen, must break free from her captor (Maeve) to continue uniting and fighting for one thing-a better world. Maas reveals the underlying drive in every person who preservers for something larger than their future, “...[Aelin] would be the ultimate cost to end this, to save their world,” (64). Aelin is willing to give up everything she is to create a future for all the people who can’t change their world in the way she can. Throughout the novel, readers will be intrigued by the complex and creative world where each character easily fits into. Every character is relatable and manny don't possess any magic making it easy to picture yourself as a protagonist. For instance, one of my favorite heroines, Elide, uses only her wits to keep her and her friends alive. No one is all good or all bad in this story as in life. Maas aptly expresses the hardships of being a leader or having power and using it beneficially. If you enjoyed reading The Runaway King by Jennifer A. Nielsen you will love this book. Both books have a similar plot with new royalty who were once in hiding and now doing everything to save there now broken kingdoms. However, readers should definitely read the rest of the series (and novellas) before enjoying this book which was the perfect conclusion to the Throne of Glass books. All in all, Kingdom of Ash deserves a five out of five stars for its relevant theme, lovable characters, and message.
