Is there a universal language of love, a "kinship with all life" that can open new horizons of experience?

Example after example in this unique classic — from "Strongheart" the actor-dog to "Freddie" the fly — resounds with entertaining and inspiring proof that communication with animals is a wonderful, indisputable fact. All that is required is an attitude of openness, friendliness, humility, and a sense of humor to part the curtain and form bonds of real friendship.

For anyone who loves animals, for all those who have ever experienced the special devotion only a pet can bring, Kinship With All Life is an unqualified delight. Sample these pages and you will never encounter "just a dog" again, but rather a fellow member of nature's own family.

As a person who has learned to communicate with the various dogs who have shared their lives with me, I was able to be open to the premise of this book. I was willing to accept the communication with the housefly, but that is probably the most unusual case of animal communication that I have ever read about. If one can accept the idea that each animal group is organized by a greater group Soul or Deva, then it is likely that there could be communication from one's own Soul level to the Soul entity embodying that group.

This book had my lower jaw on the floor!  I grew up with German Shepherds, so the stories about Strongheart were intriguing. The whole concept of animal communication is amazing to me. Supposedly humans let go of this skill thousands of years ago with the development of written and spoken language. Anyone can do this. It takes a little practice, but it can be verified by animal owners. I also read another book by Boone...Adventures in Kinship with All LIfe. It tells the story of Boone and a monkey. Very easy reading and hard to put down!

Anyone who is interested in communication between humans and animals should read this book - especially those who would like to take their relationships with animals to a higher level. The author begins by struggling to communicate with a dog (no ordinary dog, mind you!) and by the end is good friends with a house fly. Read it!

I enjoyed reading this book so very much! J. Allen Boone seems such a wonderful and very insightful man. Doris Day recommended this book to the readers of her book. I see how a woman with her caring for dogs would love this book! Boone offers a most wonderful way to live with nature of all types - including, if you can believe it, flies (Freddie the Fly) and ants! Boone really recognizes the intelligence of nature and all of her legged creatures! What a wonderful book!
