If you invite me to a baby shower I can guarantee you that I will not be bringing a bag of diapers. My go to baby gift is a bag of books. I have several that I keep on hand just for these occasions. I now have one more to add to the mix. Little One, God Loves You is beyond adorable! It contains the message that is more important than any other . . . God Loves You. The author is Amy Warren Hilliker, daughter of Rick Warren. Amy has taken the five purposes from her father's book The Purpose Driven Life and turned them into a delightful set of verses that will speak truth into your little one's life. All the mommas know that board books will be read to their little ones over and over and over. So I say if you're going to be doing that why not read something to them that will instill the fundamentals of what they are here for. This little book will let them know that they are loved by God and made to be a special part of His family. It will also remind them that they have a responsibility to be a helper and share God's love with others. This book was originally written in 2004 and it was cute but this new addition is so much nicer. The illustrations by Potona Lovsin are reminiscent of ones found in Beatrix Potter books. The little bunny family is beautiful. Not only would this make a great baby shower gift but it would also be a wonderful addition to a toddler's Easter basket. I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.

Little One, God Loves You by Amy Warren Hilliker is an adorably cute book! I love that every page in this book reminds little ones that God loves them. Little One, God Loves You is written in rhyme and the illustrations throughout the book are beautiful. My kids enjoy looking through this book before bed and have asked me to read it just about every night. I enjoy reading it to them because I think sending them to bed with the reminder that God loves them is the perfect way for them to drift to sleep. I highly recommend this book and think it would make a wonderful gift this Easter! Disclosure: I received product(s) for free, in exchange for my honest review. I only recommend products I've used personally, and believe will be good fit for consumers.

Geared for children ages four and under, this little book shares the five purposes of The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. Amy Warren Hulliker, Rick Warren's daughter, wrote this book to help little ones start to grasp a few basic concepts about God and the Christian life. This board book "lets children know God made them solely for the purpose of loving them." The rhythmic wording is one that is easy to read over and over, like the little ones like to do with their favorite books. Besides the simple repetitive words written for little ones to easily understand, the beautiful illustrations by Polona Lovsin are captivating. The animals look so cute, cuddly and lovable that even my 14-year old thought they looked like he could reach out and pet them. The pages are also thick and sturdy for little ones to hold and look at on their own. This would be a great book to give little ones to help them learn that God loves them and that we in turn love others. It would make a nice gift, as well as buying one for your own family. I received this book from ZonderKidz. I was not required to write a positive review in exchange for the book.

This little wooden book is simply adorable. A baby rabbit (or bunny as my mother likes to say) skedaddles through the story. This little soul learns how it is loved by God, family, and friends. There is even the theme of sharing and helping others incorporated into this book. Each set of left/right page has a simple two line where each line rhymes. The pictures are full color and reminiscent of oil color painting. My favorite image is of the bunny on its back in a bed of flowers with a butterfly hovering just above. This book is perfect for right before bedtime or any time readers (young and old alike) could use a pick-me-up.
