I really have to say that this book was awesome! I honestly love creating things from unique pieces and learning how too reuse what I own and transforming it. So what I wanted to get more into was using metal and different ways to emboss and create giftable designs and additions to my home. The book, Mad About Metal by Monica Fischer has really inspired me to look pass just jewelry with my tools and also not to think just scrapbooking or cardmaking but becoming more into the creative decoration and accessories I can make for the home. The techniques and skill levels of each project inside this book are actually not hard because some are meant for the beginner, while many do branch out to be a bit trickier and slightly challenging for the novice. Though the bonus to that would be, learning how to create new pieces and advancing to the trickier and challenging ones. Making your skill level advance further while you work. Plus, the one thing that I do love about these projects and this book is that there are so many fun uses of upcycled items, nothing needs to be brand new or expensive when it comes to this book. I feel this is one thing really catches my attention. There is another thing you should know about this book. It's more than just embossing and creating texture to the object, but instead you are also learning tips, techniques and tricks to cut, fill, sand and so much more to get the results of something new. Plus, the photographs and easy to follow steps, make this book excellent and one of the best ways to learn and easily accomplish the project without difficulty. Finally, I honestly love the different projects, and can't wait to begin and really enjoy the use of upcycling, as I'm always reusing fabric and items in all my projects.
