About the Author

Wil Wheaton's successful acting career began in 1986 with acclaimed roles in Stand By Me and Toy Soldiers. He continued to build his resume through his teen years as series regular ‘Wesley Crusher’ on Star Trek: The Next Generation and opposite Robin Williams in Flubber. But Wil is much more than just an actor; he’s an author, blogger, voice actor, widely-followed original Twitter user, and a champion of geek culture.

As an author, he's published several acclaimed books, including: Just A Geek, Dancing Barefoot, The Happiest Days of Our Lives, and Memories of the Future Volume 1, a humorous and nostalgic episode guide of the first half of the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. All of his books grew out of Wil’s immensely popular, award-winning weblog, which he created at WIL WHEATON dot NET and currently maintains at WIL WHEATON dot NET: in Exile.

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect when I got this book. I only knew that after following Wil Wheaton on Twitter that I was probably going to enjoy his writing style - and I was right! He takes you episode by episode of the first half of Season 1 of Star Trek: TNG. He provides his own sarcastic recaps and tells you exactly what he thought of each episode. Add in some behind the scenes memories, a self-deprecating sense of humor, and enough geek references to make your head spin and you have a really fun read. I look forward to reading the next volume.

I've been given the opportunity to review Wil Wheaton's book, but unfortunately, I haven't started reading it yet!I purchased my Nook so I wouldn't have piles of books waiting to be read lying around my house. Instead, I have files of books waiting to be read on my Nook! I'm sure it will be well worth it. He writes about his experiences on TNG. I like what he writes on his blog, I like TNG, it got to be good right? I have no doubt that I would recommend this book. Wil is on Twitter, look him up, he links to the blog. You won't be sorry.
