Does anyone, anywhere, ever profit from probing textual analysis in the form of end-of-chapter questions that turn a nuanced personal read into a series of stultifying writing assignments? Here's an essay about stuff. What is the essay really about? Write an essay about the stuff that you think this essay is about. Blech.Skip the moronic questions, however, and there are some half-decent selections.
