I've read many novellas, especially those written for the Christmas season, and for the most part, the reader is left feeling cheated.  As if a popular, normally well-written author is rushing toward a holiday publishing date, and the result, sadly, is a short story that is not fulfilling and shallow. Well, Grace Burrowes should give lessons in how to write a proper novella, because Morgan and Archer  is what every novella should be.  Complete, unhurried, and extremely satisfying.  Her knack for bringing in characters from her other books into the current story is natural and delightful.  It is a mystery to me how such a prolific author never fails to disappoint.  Burrowes is amazing and genius.

My favorite is the Windham series and offshoots, but she is incapable of writing a bad book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love this author, always love her books, especially Windham books, liked both these characters in prior books. I was tickled to seethem get their own book, think the author did a good job of fitting their story into the world around them. Liked their storyline, sweet romance, thoroughly enjoyed it. As always, cant wait for the next Grace Borrowes book!

I loved how immediate the connection was between the hero and heroine. It’s like Archer and Morgan immediately see past society’s restraints straight to the heart of each other and there is no doubt in the reader’s mind that they belong together. And while the connection happens quickly it does not seem rushed or implausible. I also loved how Morgan’s disability was handled. I enjoyed seeing how Archer gave so much thought to her situations and his insight to her struggles was so touching as he gave it some very intense studying. The supporting cast of characters is fantastic and I particularly enjoyed the head of the household and his knowledgeable wife. I cannot wait to read more about these entertaining people. I've become a big fan of this author’s style in a very short amount of time and I will say she has never disappointed me. I cannot wait to start reading her next story.

Tying up loose ends? I would have liked Morgan and Archer to have had a longer, more detailed story. Feel like I barely got to know them and there was a lot more to learn.
