Now & Then [Original Soundtrack]

Now & Then [Original Soundtrack]

Overview

The soundtrack for the coming-of-age flick Now & Then could easily be mistaken for one of those ubiquitous K-Tel collections so popular in the '70s (and that's not necessarily a bad thing at all). Aside from ex-Bangle Susanna Hoffs' breezy title track which closes the set (and hardly sounds out of place), it gathers 11 songs that perfectly capture the pop music landscape of the movie's early-'70s setting, each of them having been a Top Ten hit. Among those are five number ones, including the Archies' bubblegum classic "Sugar, Sugar," Tony Orlando & Dawn's "Knock Three Times," the Monkees' "Daydream Believer," and a pair of chart-toppers from the Jackson 5 ("I Want You Back" and "I'll Be There"). Rounded out with a mix of classic R&B (the Supremes' and the Temptations' "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me"), rock (Free's "All Right Now"), and pop (Vanity Fare's "Hitchin' a Ride"), Now & Then is a seamless time capsule sure to evoke strong memories for anyone who lived through that era.

The Now and Then soundtrack really captures the happy-go-lucky, nostalgic mood of the film and features the best and most dubbed old school songs you will find! A must for any Motown fan!

This is by far the best soundtrack I have ever heard. Most soundtracks I only like one or two of the songs but this one has all the great songs from the sixties. Now I can enjoy the songs that my mother grew up listening to.
