About the Author

Sandra Boynton is a beloved American cartoonist, children’s author, songwriter, and highly sporadic short film director. Boynton has written and illustrated sixty children’s books and seven general audience books, including five New York Times bestsellers. More than 70 million of her books have been sold—“mostly to friends and family,” she says. Boynton has also written and produced six albums of unconventional children’s music; three of her albums have been certified Gold (over 500,000 copies sold), and Philadelphia Chickens, nominated for a Grammy, has gone Platinum (over one million copies sold). Boynton has also written and directed eleven short musical films and two animated shorts, including “Tyrannosaurus Funk,” sung by Samuel L. Jackson, which won the 2018 Grand Prize for Best Children’s Animation Short from the Rhode Island International Film Festival. In 2008, Boynton received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Cartoonists Society. Boynton has four perfect children and an equally perfect granddaughter. Her Connecticut studio is in a converted barn that has perhaps the only hippopotamus weathervane in America.

This is our family's favorite Boynton book. We have to repeat the dinosaur song page a few times before moving on. Teaches opposites in a cute and fun way.

This was the very first Sandra Boyton book that I had purchased for my son. I remember reading this at my sons doctor. We were waiting for the dreaded shots, and it was in the basket in the room. My son loved the book. I kind of sang the rhyming words and it engaged my son..and I put a happy voice on and pointed out the Dinosaurs Red, blue yellow and green....and pointed as well. He is now 7 years old and I still bring it out from time to time...and he knows it by heart. We have over hundreds of books that we read for Mom and Cam time at night...and I do feel that reading with your children is a nice calming touch for bedtime and it carries on through the years...in fact because we read so much together, he has had the highest reader award this whole past year at school. I think this is a great first read that keeps on giving. We love Sandra Boyton. Thanks,

My toddler son adored this book - and I do, too! It's a fun way to show opposites, plus other rhyming pages. We were very dismayed when we accidentally left it on an plane returning from Grandma's. The amazing thing was, when we went to the bookstore, my son, 2 1/2, picked it off the store shelf himself from in between all the other board books - he loved it so much!

Oh My Oh My Oh Dinosaurs has captivated my daughter (now 14 months) for the past few months. When I read it, I make faces or gestures to correspond with what the dinosaurs are doing or feeling and she is mesmerized. I love Boynton's simple rhymes and her fun with animals. This book and her others are wonderful teaching tools.

My almost 2 year old son loves this book! He is able to complete the line on each page - Dinosaurs 'happy', Dinosaurs 'sad'. I think it is a great book to increase your child's vocabulary.

We love Boynton in my house (at least the kids do), and this is one of our favorites. The words are simple and concepts that kids should be able to learn relatively young. The pictures are engaging to look at, and the cut out on the cover is fun to play with.

Gosh we love Sandra Boynton around here. Boy does she write great books. This is a quick book of rhymes which *mostly* show opposites (dinosaur weak, dinosaur strong, dinosaurs singing a dinosaur song!) Very fast to read, and cute, engaging pictures for little ones.

Dinosaurs show us what they do and who they are--and most of them are silly!Dinosaurs, rhyme, board book: enough said? Well, let me add that the funny activities (like painting) and seeing the differences in the personalities and shapes and sizes of the various dinosaurs are a great conversation starter for talking with a bunch of preschoolers/late toddlers (or just one) about imagination, real vs. pretend, and different types of people and animals.

Our family enjoyed many Boynton board books, and this was one of our favourites. The simple, clear and cheerful drawings are great for very young children. We read this so often we had it memorized, and our toddlers loved it. Great for little kids, even before they can talk, up to age 4 or 5.

My son loves this book and has learned, as a three-year-old, to navigate his Nook expertly. I love the emphasis on opposites, colors and emotions.

This book has been purchased, yet it doesn't open. I have been sent to call a 1800#. My son did not understand the problem with the book, what a pain. I would recommend waiting until all bugs have been resolved.
