Paramount Sessions 2.9 out of 5 based on 0 ratings. 25 reviews.

Not only are the "Adam Lambert songs" included on this disk old session work where Adam was asked to sing someone else's songs in a false voice (read: depressed cowboy persona), but Adam has specifically stated that he had no hand in writing these, does not endorse this garbage. Incidentally, these songs are really horrible. Also, Steve Cooke is pretty terrible in his own right. I see the label has sent out their minions to post positive "reviews". Don't be suckered.

Heard one song already on the radio in the US. Texas actually. Adam Lambert shows himself from a different side here. Maybe something for the Midwest market. Steve Cooke, an all round talent hitting the adult contemporary market.Hats off to 2 great voices.

I have seen someone knocking the other artists on this record. Please be aware, they are just doing their job as best as they can. This is also an industry and people have to make money. It costs a lot to make a record if its not on a Mac and if you all want to end up only listening to crap and destroying the real talent..well.. For me, I think the cover design is terrible and both artists certainly look bad, but maybe we should all look behind it? How about the singing? The music? Maybe I will buy it. Lets see. I will decide later.

Im reading a lot of personal comments on here that dont comment on the music. This should be "music" reviews and not hearsay and some personal vendetta from Adam towards somebody else. Please only write about the music. Ok, Adams singing is meant to be lame on this record. I heard want on youtube and its sounds awesome, even has Hit potential! Regarding the other artist, Steve Cooke, I also believe he has a huge talent. Thats my opinion on this product.

I love Adam, I didnt know Steve Cooke until I checked him out on youtube. A real musician, with an amazing voice and great talent. I know they are not their songs, but as professionals both should do a great job.

This is an album unauthorized by Adam Lambert. Adam Lambert does not endorse this project, and Mr. Cooke was unaware his music would be bundled with Mr. Lambert's. Look for Adam Lambert's authorized new album due out in the first quarter of 2012

I have followed Adam through American Idol. For me he early performances were the best and I enjoyed his covers of Johnny Cash etc, so I think for my generation that is not totally into pop this might be the right album to buy. I will check it out.

I have to say I never expected this to happen, but 2 of my most favorite singers together on 1 CD! Thats just great. A bit confused with the picture from Adam, but I presume thats from the recording session. The recording desk looks amazing, if the music is that big as well..then...Im happy I bought it.

Not even Adam Lambert's magnificent vocals can pull this dross up into anything worth more than a quick skim through. As I listened to these tracks I felt nothing but sadness and dismay knowing this was Adam in a massive set of restraints, not able to sing as himself or put any of his own spirit or style into them. He recorded these tracks as a demo for the songwriter - that means being paid a wage to sing them like other artists who might be interested in buying the rights and recording them for release. They were not intended for public release. He sounds like he would rather be anywhere else than in that recording studio making these awful demos. If he'd known that years later his boss would flog these off in the middle of him trying to carve his own career I'm sure he would've sounded even more depressed. I also discovered that all but a couple of these tracks were already sold on another album by the same label in 2009 anyway. And it flopped badly - not surprising. Save your money and please don't allow corporate greed to ruin a young artists career. Unless you want to end up stuck with second-rate singers in the future. I note many of the "positive" reviews here are basically quotes from the press releases for this album. I think that's unfair and suggests they are not genuine reviews.

I have worked at Paramount Studios myself and know "The Cave" very well. Led Zeppelin recorded in there. Its the biggest studio. So these cant be demos, and anyone who says that is not a professional music person to start with. 2nd I heard that Adam got paid and signed a contract (even 2), so this is legal and above board if he likes it or not. I dont like all of the songs, but the singers are both very professional and talented. Over and out.

Well, its always nice to find some old songs in the draw, redo and mix them again and release them, especially as I never liked Adams pop songs he released in 09.So, I will check it out. Intrigued about the guy too. 2 artists that sang this guys songs...why not..

He has said as much, on his Twitter and in interviews. Adam didn't write these songs. They are glorified demos, and he was paid to sing like someone else on them, so none of them even sound like him. Pass on this, wait until 2012 and buy his second album. It'll be light-years better than this slop.

I love anything Adam Lambert! This is great. Checked out Steve Cooke. Great singer and songwriter. Dont miss out on this little pearler. 20 songs, double deluxe.

A deluxe album of 20 exclusive high-end recordings of the strong and soulful voices of Adam Lambert and Steve Cooke singing with Seal and Madonna's backing band, at the infamous Paramount studios in Hollywood, USA. Easy listening, rock ballads re-mixed and mastered, featuring never released songs, outtakes and long plays from Adam Lambert .

Both are amazing singers in their own right! Great product!!

These are old demo songs from years ago before Adam Lambert became famous. This is not music supported by the artist!!! Don't buy these tracks as someone is only trying to make some quick $$ here. Instead, support Adam by waiting for his new single to drop in November and for his album with his current and authentic music to be released in early 2012!!!

This old music was recorded years ago when Adam Lambert was briefly in a band called Citizen Vein. Briefly as in they played a total of 3 sparsely attended gigs in bars and were paid in tequila shots. They also recorded their music, but the company declined to pick them up or promote them. The band disbanded and no more was heard of this music. Until, of course, Lambert hit it big on his own and the company realized they could capitalize on these old recordings, especially if they released the music around the same time as Lambert's official RCA releases and promoted them as a "new" release. The company brought in another session musician, Steve Cooke, for additional vocals. Lambert has denounced these releases. As for the music? It's bar band material created by a short-lived group who couldn't get anyone other than their friends to show up for their gigs. I can't imagine why anyone would waste their money on it. Especially since the original music (i.e. without Cooke) is available for free on YouTube and has been for years.

This is one of the worst recordings ever. Don't fall for the B.S. "reviews" written by his buddy's fans. This guy is a hack & these recordings are awful. Don't waste your money. The worst music I've ever heard in 40 years of being a rock fan. Even Tiny Tim is 100 times more talented than this joker.

This is NOT Adam Lamberts new cd. It is some bogus cd by some guy that found old unfinished sessions work that doesn't even sound like Adam and is trying to make a buck off of him since Adam has a new CD coming out AFTER the first of the year. Ignore the junk job. It is not his real music. If you are a true fan of Adam's do no buy this junk. There is another one out also by some guy trying to make a buck off of Adam thAdam of todayat has nothing to do with him also. Its called Beg For Mercy. Don't buy it either. Sounds nothing like the .

GREEDY unethical people are releasing this CD. Adam Lambert has no part in this CD's release. It is NOT his new music but old crap recorded years before he became famous on Idol. Adam Lambert does not want this CD released. Adam Lamber will not profit from this CD In short but if you will but it's on your conscience. Or instead why not wait for Lambert's new LEGITIMATE release due early next year.

Don't be fooled. Adam Lambert's real album on RCA won't be out until Spring 2012. Wait for the official stuff - it's gonna be GREAT!! :)

This fly-by night record producer & his backstabbing buddies are trying to further their own agenda by using Adam Lambert's good name, fame & talent to promote this minimally talented Steve Cooke's garbage recording by packaging it with old session work vocals by Adam Lambert. Adam recorded these vocals during a session for someone else several years before he appeared on American Idol and does not reflect HIS own music & his current musical direction. This is nothing more than a bunch of deceptive creeps trying to capitalize a second time off of old recordings by Adam Lambert. Adam Lambert has flat out denounced these recordings on several occasions and most definitely does NOT endorse their release once again. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!

These songs were released two years ago - these "producers" are trying to make a quick buck timing this "album" (there NEVER was an "album") when Lambert is in the process of releasing his real SONY/RCA album in 2012. These songs are demo/session tracks Lambert sang in different styles to sell to other artists - boring. Really lousy to do this - also releasing old Citizen Vein tracks - called Beg for Mercy - that were made five years ago. So completely unethical.
