Unlike her famous older brother Maxon, Princess Portia isn't known for killing demons or attracting admirers. The reason why is simple: a spell was cast on Portia, and the magic has marked her to one day transform into a dreaded Void demon. To fight this horrible fate, Portia's spent her life hiding in libraries and learning magic. But when the Void demons threaten to destroy all the after-realms-and the handsome dragon Emperor Tempest offers his help-then Portia suspects that her future holds more than just a demonic metamorphosis. Fate is calling the bookworm princess onto the battlefield, and it's a fight against both deadly enemies and her heart's desires.

About the Author

Christina Bauer believes that fantasy books are like bacon: they just make life better. All of which is why she writes romance novels that feature demons, dragons, wizards, witches, elves, elementals, and a bunch of random stuff that she brainstorms while riding the Boston T. Oh, and she includes lots of humor and kick-ass chicks, too. Christina lives in Newton, MA with her husband, son, and semi-insane golden retriever, Ruby.

The second installment on the Angelbound Offspring, entirely focuses on Portia, Maxon's sister. She was born marked and different than the rest of her family. Thinking she's destined to become a demon, most people fear her, especially men. Until him. I love dragon's, and so reading a story that has dragon shifters? Yes, please!! I loved the storyline and I loved that it centered around Portia. She's different and unique, she isn't a warrior like her parents and brother, but she still kicks but in her own way. I loved the twists and turns in the story, they kept me devouring up the pages quickly! If you've loved the other books in the series, you'll love this one too!!

That's all I really have to say. The whole series was amazing. I am hoping another book maybe Mayla and Lincoln have another kid... Fingers crossed.

Portia has been marked to become a VOID demon so basically every aspect of her life is pushed back to try to learn magic strong enough to fight her transformation. Then Emperor Tempest that is a dragon has offered to help Portia. Portia doesn’t know it but Tempest has been waiting a long time to be with her. Portia is also getting feelings for tempest. I liked the plot of the story in that someone finally stood for Portia but he had to be a little old but then again he was a dragon so they age different I would guess. This story was a three because to me it seems a little rushed. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would have if it was a little more drawn out I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

Second book in the Angelbound Offspring series. As the first one, Maxon, this doesn’t disappoint. Portia has a future set for herself as a void demon, and this doesn’t appeal to her yearning for a life with a family of her own. She meets Tempest and falls in love. They embark in a journey to save the Firmament and she has a chance to find herself and maybe avoid her destiny. This is a great tale of self-discovery. Note: I received a copy free from Netgalley for review purposes.
