Alexa is just your average college junior, attending classes and piloting Mile High Club charter flights. Boys haven't been on her radar for a couple years after a disastrous breakup with her high school sweetheart. Her plans to focus on school hit a bit of a snag when she meets bad-boy Drake Bennett and he sets his sights on making her his own.

Drake transferred to Blythe College for the rugby team, not for a new assortment of college girls. He's sexy and cocky, and he attracts women like moths to a flame. When he meets Alexa, Drake knows he's met his match. She tries to resist him, but Drake isn't used to taking no for an answer.

This does not have a cliffhanger.

About the Author

I absolutely adore reading - always have and always will. My friends growing up used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing.

I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it.

When I told my mom that my new year's resolution was to self-publish a book in 2013, she pretty much told me "About time!"

I loved this book! I heard people ask the question: does the cover of a book make you want to read the book? My answer is usually no but for Push the Envelope, it's a definite yes. There is no denying that the cover is hot. Then when I read the blurb, I knew I had to read this one. Push the Envelope is a great story. Alexa is a strong character. She pilots planes for her father's company and has also started her own charter flights. She's not looking to date anyone. Drake is a strong alpha male and he is also a rugby player. He has his sites on Alexa. There is do denying there connection to each other. Push the Envelope drew me in right away. It is very well written. I could not put it down until I was done. It's a sweet story. Of course there are thing that Alexa doesn't tell Drake and things Drake doesn't tell Alexa. When those this come out they cause bumps in the road for their relationship. This is a definite drop everything and read it book.

Excellent read. Very Hot Alpha! NA is usually a little juvenile for me, but RP managed to make a frat boy a genuine alpha and wrote a sexy story without post-teen drama. There wasn't a lot of his point-of-view prior to their meeting so his intense devotion seemed a little rushed, but she hinted that Drake had noticed Alexa and had been interested earlier on. There were several elements of the storyline that were unique. All in all, a very enjoyable read and I'm anxious to read more of her work in the future.

I really wanted to enjoy this book but just found that I could not get into it at all. Alexa is a junior in college and has only had one boyfriend and he broke her heart. She goes to college and is roommates with her best friend, Aubrey and Aubrey's brother Jackson is also at the same college. It sounds like a lot of characters but they were pretty well developed so easy to keep track of. Alexa meets Drake very early on in the book and it seems like they keep accidentally meeting up over the course of the next 24 hours. The culmination of their meetings is when Alexa and her father were chartered to fly Drake home for his mother's birthday party. Here is where the book went downhill for me. Everything was just so cliché it drove me nuts. The instant Drake saw her of course he fell for her and made it apparent he meant to have her. If that dude said most of the things he said to her almost as soon as meeting her, I wouldn't be getting a relationship with him, I would be getting a restraining order. I think they tried to make Drake an alpha but to me he just seemed really creepy and a bit of a douche bag. I mean after one day he is already so possessive of her and demanding about her intentions with other guys. "Let me finish, babe. I need to get this out and on the table. For the first time ever, I didn't want to follow the rule. I wanted you with me and not him. I had to watch you walk away with him, up the stairs to his room, I spent the rest of the night pissed the f*ck off, imagining what you guys were doing in his room. I left the party and stayed away so that I wouldn't knock his door down to get to you" Seriously, he HAD JUST MET HER THAT NIGHT! The killer part was that she sensed something was off at the beginning and yet just went right along falling head over heels for him. "I knew my tone was getting snippy but I didn't feel like he had any right to question my perfectly innocent friendship with Jackson" And of course the sex was mind-blowing between them and they did all sorts of stuff. If she had only been with one person, I have a hard time believing that after her and Drake were together for such a short time she would be confident enough or experienced enough to be comfortable with all the stuff they did. And another cliché but he told her to come, and guess what? She did, on command! I need to learn that trick! So after hearing how incredibly happy they are for 85% of the book we finally get to the drama part which was easily avoidable and explainable if they had ever had a conversation in the beginning of their relationship. It just seemed rather trite to me and was very short lived. And of course, afterwards the makeup sex was incredible. *insert eye roll here* So while this book wasn't exactly my cup of tea, the writing was solid, the characters were well developed, and there were no grammatical or spelling errors that I could find. The book was very well edited. I also loved that Alexa and her father had such a great relationship even though her mother wasn't in the picture. We see so many books where the mom is the shoulder to cry on but that isn't how it always is. Having my father raise me, I could totally relate to her on that. This is Rochelle Paige’s first body of work. It was really good. It’s a story about finding your real, true love. Rochelle’s voice is simple and but very engaging. The characters are easy to love and you find yourself involved in the story and wanting more. It was an entertaining read and overall very well written. I do recommend you buy it if you are looking for a fun, quick read and not a novel full of angst that will wretch you and leave you crying. If that’s your thing, keep it moving because this book is not it – and thank goodness for that. Our heroine, Alexa, works to pay for school as a Pilot for her father’s company and I enjoyed that her profession was very different and somewhat unexpected. She seems to be very mature for her age and as a reader, I liked her right away. Drake is yummy in many ways. I like that he comes from a rich family but he acts normal. He does not flaunts his money. He is portrayed as an Alpha male, possessive and dominant of his woman and very, very pleasing when it comes to sexual favors. I absolutely fell in love with a supporting character, Jackson who is Alexa’s best friend’s (Aubrey) brother. He obviously has strong feelings for Alexa and I hope he gets the next book because I really liked his character. There are enough sexual scenes to make this book really enjoyable, but not so many that they take over the entire story. I like it better when there is a lot of character development. Alexa’s best friend actually provides some good wisdom and has one of my favorite lines in the book: “Flying is much scarier than falling in love because the risks are bigger, you are just used to those risks. The only way that you are going to get used to them in relationships is if you give this a real chance. No holding yourself back.” As with all romance novels, there comes a point where something/someone gets in the way and tries to take the love birds apart. This scene comes and I had a feeling of who/what the culprit was before it was mentioned, but it was well written and you could see the characters going through the motions/emotions. I have no regrets after buying or reading this book. I enjoyed it a lot and strongly recommend that you buy it too.
