From dark start to delicious ending, this unusual Christmas tale is romantic and uplifting. Nothing will ever be the same again after Jeff is accused of threatening to murder his wife. Or Evie is bruised one time too many by her abusive boyfriend. Or Santa Claws the cat starts howling under the house.
This delightfully different novella brings eventual happiness for everyone – including added joy for Christian and Fiona who you first met in Kris’s novel THE WRONG SISTER.
Come and spend a sunny summer Christmas in Wellington, New Zealand. You could even adopt a kitten….

About the Author
Kris writes sizzling contemporary romance, pure and simple. Well, maybe not that pure! They're sexy stories about couples who fall in love, and into bed along the way, just like real people do. The first novel in her new Scarlet Bay trilogy - HARD TO REGRET - is a lusty romp with a heartbreaking backstory threaded through it. The best of both. If it's fine, Kris gardens. If it's wet, she writes. And if the writing's going well, the garden can look after itself. She's an advertising copywriter and a decor specialist, and the author of 'The Boat Builder's Bed'. More than two million copies have now been downloaded free, and giving away a taste of her work with this one kick-started sales of all her others. Her seven Wellington Series novels are set in the capital city so she can make use of the beautiful harbor in the plots. Her three Heartlands novels follow couples who live in more remote country areas of New Zealand. Her all-time best-seller is 'Taken by the Sheikh'. There's now also 'Desired by the Sheikh', and these are not quite your usual sheikh stories. Four books are now available in Spanish. There's a Spanish version of her website http://www.krispearson.com - click the flags at the top right of it to change languages. ~ ~ ~ Kris es una chispeante autora de romántica contemporánea, pura y simplemente. ¡Bueno, quizá no tan pura! Nice short story.
Santa Claws by Kris Pearson Definitely different but decidedly worth reading, this Christmas novella is short but has deep issues to deal with and does it well. Jeff and Evie have a rough Christmas to get through on a shoestring budget but sometimes it is not money or expensive gifts that are needed to make the holiday special – nope – sometimes it is the people you spend the time with and the quality of the encounter that can make it a dream come true. For Jeff, Evie and the cat this is oh so true and I was thrilled that they all got their HFN ending. I was also interested in finding out what Fiona and Christian were up to after reading their story in the series I just finished. The only thing I might have wanted more of was…what will happen in the future for Evie and Jeff. Perhaps they will show up later in another book should the series be continued. Thank you to the author for the story – this is my honest review. 5 Stars
