The quartet has garnered praise for their take on Schubert. The New York Times recently stated, "In the Belcea's account [of 'Death and the Maiden'] the work seemed so formidable and emotionally complex that there was nothing more to say." With Valentine Erben, the Belcea Quartet brilliant Schubert release cannot be ignored. From the Label

The Belcea Quartet is one of my favorite current string quartets. They have a great sense of each other that can be heard in thsi recording. I recently saw them in concert and it was jaw-dropping. They told me that this record was being dropped on the 12th of January. I'm so happy to have this in my library!
