#1 New York Times bestselling author Sandra Brown delivers nonstop suspense and supercharged sexual tension in a thriller about tainted heroism and vengeance without mercy.

Kerra Bailey is a TV journalist hot on the trail of a story guaranteed to skyrocket her career to new heights. Twenty-five years ago, Major Franklin Trapper became a national icon when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors to safety after the bombing of a Dallas hotel. For years, he gave frequent speeches and interviews but then suddenly dropped out of the public eye, shunning all media. Now Kerra is willing to use any means necessary to get an exclusive with the Major—even if she has to secure an introduction from his estranged son, former ATF agent John Trapper.

Still seething over his break with both the ATF and his father, Trapper wants no association with the bombing or the Major. Yet Kerra's hints that there's more to the story rouse Trapper's interest despite himself. And when the interview goes catastrophically awry—with unknown assailants targeting not only the Major, but also Kerra—Trapper realizes he needs her under wraps if he's going to track down the gunmen . . . and finally discover who was responsible for the Dallas bombing.

Kerra is wary of a man so charming one moment and dangerous the next, and she knows Trapper is withholding evidence from his ATF investigation into the bombing. But having no one else to trust and enemies lurking closer than they know, Kerra and Trapper join forces to expose a sinuous network of lies and conspiracy—and uncover who would want a national hero dead.

This book was okay. The plot was decent; however, I could not overcome my dislike of the main male character (Trapper). His constant sarcasm, hostility, and vulgarity overwhelmed any dialog wherein he was a participant or any possible redeeming character qualities. The other characters didn't inspire loyalty or much likability either. Finally, the graphic sex scenes were unnecessary and took away from the overall flow of the story and felt as if they were just thrown in.

Lots of twists and turns in this book. I love the mystery and intrigue portion of Sandra Brown's books, but this one bordered on pornography. The detailed sex didn't really help the story line. I felt like it was there just to cause a shock. I did like that you were left guessing up until the end. Just as you thought everything had been revealed, the author has another shocking moment that leaves you reeling. Haven't decided if I'll read any more books by Sandra Brown. The sex scenes were just too over the top and graphic for my taste.

Another great read from an awesome author. Sandra has done it again. You've got mystery, sarcasm, sexy, and romance all in one book. It kept me wondering "who done it" style till the very end. Every time I thought I had it figured out, something pops up and throws my theory out window. Thank you Ms. Brown!! Great read!!

Seeing Red is a must read. Great, great story, you will not be sorry that you read this. Be warned, once you start reading, you will have a tough time putting this book down. Twist ending at the end that I did not see coming. Sandra is a master at making her characters so real and the story so believable. This story starts off 25 years ago, The Major saved a little girl from a building that had a bomb expload, many people lost their lives in this bombing. Now that little girl is grown up and wants to chat with The Major, who has become quite famous for his saving of the little girl. The Major's son believes, and has believed for 3 years, that the person or people responsible for the bombing is still out there and is going to go after the 2 survivors. Are they still out there somewhere watching, and if they are, will they be caught? You'll have to read it to find out. Enjoy!! Happy Reading!! :)
