Paranormal Shifter Romance Book

The Immortal Ops Series!

Tiger-shifter Jonathon Reynell has spent a chunk of his immortal life serving his country. As an I-Op, his life revolves around the next mission, the next natural high. A soldier sent into the deadliest of combats, he didn't expect immortality to be an issue, to live on while everyone he knows and loves dies. When the toll begins to show and he finds himself at the bottom of another bottle, he decides to go back to his roots, back to his home to clear his head. Rock bottom is not where he expected to be when he found his mate with a rose in hand and his name on her lush lips. Tori is the very definition of perfection and beauty. She’s also in the crosshairs of the enemy. And if there is one thing this sniper knows, it’s that his sights are the only ones that should be set on her.

I can't tell you how long I have been waiting for this book to come out and it is finally here! Sexy, action, sass - everything one has come to expect in a Many Roth book. And of course humor where it is least expected. Of all the books about the Ops Team finding their mates, Jon's story is more heartfelt and emotional. Great read! The only down side, is now that I have read this one in just a few days I don't know how long I will have to wait for the next book in the series. LOL.

This is the latest book in the PSI/I-ops series, about a group of supernaturals who fight bad guys for their country and find true, lifelong love. This was Jon's story, one we have been waiting quite a lot of books to get to. This is a series best read in order (check Mandy's website for more info). It isn't too bad to read them out of order, not a big spoiler issue, but you miss some of the over arching plot. It is actually 3 series rolled into one, I-ops, PSI and Outcasts. Here are the books released in these series in reading order so far (some are in box sets) Immortal Ops Critical Intelligence Radar Deception Strategic Vulnerability Tactical Magik Act of Mercy Administrative Control Act of Surrender Broken Communication Separation Zone New books get regularly released in the series, so if you would like an ongoing and popular series to add to your reading list, this is good one. Mandy Roth is a great romance action writer who has a talent for strong female leads and balances them with a natural sounding male voice in her narrative. Her books have some steamy scenes but have some substantial plot as well, which can sometime be lacking in a steamy novel. It is easy and fun to read her books as they are written in a fast pace. New books in the series often include a fun cameo from past characters so we get to enjoy their ongoing life story. I really enjoyed getting inside Jon's head in Separation Zone as his family focused style is quite different from many of the previous men in the series. His worries and guilt are endearing. The overarching plot is building to some interesting twists and turns, with some new surprises in this book for those who have followed along. Looking forward to the next instalment from this prolific and fun author.

Good, but frustrating to pay for such a short book. Not buying another.

This one was my favorite; I loved the brotherhood and as I am a vet, you can see how Mandy it. Not many people understand the military makes killing machines and when they get out, they forget to re- program them especially snipers.

Great Paranormal Series! This is a great paranormal series; this is the seventh book in the Immortal Ops series by Mandy Roth. Jonathon is an immortal tiger shifter who is a member of the Immortal Ops and has always looked forward to his next mission. But when things start getting to him and he ends up drinking another bottle, or ten, he decides to head home to his roots.  What he doesn’t expect to find at home is a mate. Tori is an artist who can see dead people, so she has her own issues. This book sucks you in from the beginning. I love the characters in this book and the fact that the author brings back some great characters from the previous books. If you are looking for a great paranormal romance, with suspense and humor then you need to read this book and series. I can’t wait until the next book comes out. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Jon is a tiger shapeshifter and has been put on mandatory leave from his I-Op team. He has been drinking him self into a stupor every night from guilt. He is the teams sharpshooter and the weight of all his kills have been slowly destroying his soul. Add in to the fact that he has a letter from his dead best friend that says he will be meeting his mate soon and when he does he will put her life in danger. As much as Jon wants to find his mate he wants to keep her safe. And that means avoiding her. He goes back to his hometown believing that will be the last place that he would find his mate. Tori has a special gift, one that keeps her alienated from people. She can see dead people, most of the townspeople believe that she is crazy. She is guided by her deceased grandmother (whom I adore!) to go to the town's memorial service of fallen soldiers. There she runs into Jon, and as their eyes meet, they both feel an intense draw to each other. Lots of action, passion and a huge revelation, Separation Zone was a highly enjoyable read and I am seriously loving this Immortal Ops series! *I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 7th book of the Immortal Ops series. This was such a great book. Jon is a tiger shifter who met his mate, Tori, in his home town. Jon was supposed to brake all ties to his mortal life but he didn't. He goes back to his hometown in honor of fallen soldiers ceremony. While at the ceremony he meets his mate Tori. Tori isn't like other human women, she is able to see people who are dead and able to talk to them.  The chemistry between the both of them is hot. Both Jon and Tori aren't perfect but they are perfect for each other and they help heal each other. The book grabs your attention from start to finish.

Devastated after the loss of his friend, Lance, Jon Reynall is staying lost in the bottom of a whiskey bottle more than giving 100% to his team. His team members have found their mates and are happy, but Jon feels fate has something else in store for him because of a letter written years ago tells of his mate, but it was also foretold he would bring her nothing but danger. In an attempt to curtail fate, Jon returns to his roots to attend the memorial for fallen soldier's. A memorial with his name and the name of the letter writer on it. Tori is an artist who sees and talks to ghosts. Recently all she paints is “tigers” and all her dead granny can tell her is “paint it” “he will come”. Attending the memorial to show respect for her father and Jon, she is faced with meeting her own “tiger” but there are those with a different agenda looking for Jon and Tori. This was a more emotional story than the others in the I-ops series. You still have the sexy, Alpha shifter, but you also have a little comic relief thrown in, in the form of Tori's granny. One of the best I have read in the series. I believe Jon may be my favorite shifter. You also have an ending with surprises – are his teammates really dead? Kudos to Mandy on another winner. Always enjoy Mandy's stories and characters. Received an ARC from author for an honest review.

This is the first Immortal Ops book that I have read and I loved it and plan to read the rest of them very soon. Jonathon Reynell is a Tiger Shifter and he is in a deep funk because of the death of his friend, drowning his guilt in booze. Now it's almost that day he has to face every year, this time he's going to go against orders and go back to his hometown and attend his best friends memorial. Little does he know that he's about to meet the daughter of his best friend and his future mate also a very dead and kicking Mrs. Manzo, her grandmother. Tori Manzo is taken to painting a Praying Tiger and she is definitely not selling it and she doesn't even know why she is so taken with it. She sees the dead and people think her daft, she can't even have a relationship with a man because he can feel everything he is thinking. Then along comes this swoon worthy man and that problem is gone!......Grandma Manzo knows why and takes to playing cupid. This story was so much fun, I still can't stop laughing at Mrs. Manzo's antics. Loved it Ms. Roth! I was gifted this book for an honest review.

Jon Reynell is reeling from the loss of his friend, Lance. He is no longer the dedicated soldier he was. He can no longer give his team 100% and seeks solace in the bottom of a bottle or twelve. His teammates have found their mates and he still searches. But unknown to the I-OPS team he has a letter from a long dead friend, foretelling that when he meets his mate, danger will come to her.  Attempting to deflect the bullet of fate, he decides to return to his tometown for a ceremony honouring fallen soldiers, including him and his best friend. But once he arrives he finds that Fate can be a determined entity and she has plopped his mate right in front of him. Tori is an emotionally fragile artist. It's not been easy being the town freak. Seeing dead people and talking to them is not a talent to be touted to the mob. And why has she taken to painting tigers!!! Her dead gran keeps telling her to "make it and and he will come". Apparently even the dead like a good Kevin Costner movie!!!  I loved this book. I have enjoyed the entire series so far and it's great to see the team settling with their mates but that doesn prevent the action from coming thick and fast. It was great to see Johns backstory and what he had been through. Dealing with the loss of friends, from childhood and I-ops, was a very emotional topic and making John revisit his past was wonderful. Gran was a lovely comic relief to what could have been downright spooky goings on. She must have been a handful when alive! There were less explosions and battles than in other books of this series. This was most definately a more emotional ride. Sexy, sassy and suspense, everything a Roth book is!!!  I was provided an ARC for an honest review.

This was by far the best book of the series so far.  It explains alot but brings even more to the table than the rest. There are more characters that have stories to be told and i hope they get told! Jon is an I-Ops agent on leave. He's so overcome with grief and anger at losing people he drinks his way though life. Until he meets Tori at a memorial for fallen soldiers. He's hit with the realization they are meant to be together, but he heeds the word of his long lost friend that she is also in danger.  He is the only one to protect her anyway he can. Tori is special, and not just to Jon, and her grandmother knows it.  And tells Jon he must take care of her. This book had more than just sex in it, which was plenty hot, but also touched more on the emotional side of what the I-Ops group goes through. I read it in one sitting it was so good! I can't wait for the next books to come out and who will be featured in them!

Jonathan Reynell is on a much needed break, drinking away his sorrows and demons. He lost his best friend, he outlived everyone he grew up with and although he says he doesn’t want to find his mate, he actually wants it with every fiber of his being. But he wants to erase the threat to his friends and all other supernatural first, to erase the danger before he finds her. Tori lives a life of solitude, never really fitting in with anyone. She sees the dead, and a gift like that makes you different from humans in a way that leaves you lonely, she was always told by her father a man would come for her, she just had to wait. I love Jon’s story, mysteries are revealed, and if you are curious you have to read this book. You will never believe what the I-Ops have discovered and who Tori’s father actually is. Click the Buy Now link, you will not regret it when you do!!!

Trying to avoid fate Jon has been put on a mandatory weeks leave.  All the other Ops guys have found their mates.  He  has so much guilt built up in himself that he’s been drowning himself in a bottle every night.  And then there’s the ghostly letter from the past.  From his friend long gone and he feels it’s his fault.  He decides to go against protocol and goes back to his home town for a soldier’s memorial.  There’s no one left there’s to know who he is or so he thinks. Then he sees her, and he can't look away.  But she’s talking to herself or so he thinks.  Is she crazy? This is a wonderful addition to the OPS series. Self-contained story and yet built from previous books and characters. Well written and extremely enjoyable to read.

Out of Loss comes Love of a Lifetime-Fantastic Read- this is a great story!! ****A gifted copy was provided by the author for an honest review*** This is Tiger shifter’s Jonathon Reynell story. He has spent a great deal of  his immortal life  serving his country then suddenly tragedy strikes.  His friend, Lance dies and Jon is reeling from the loss.  He has been drowning his sorrows in the bottle; Jon has been put on a mandatory weeks leave. Jon is a man who is suffering and has really no one , he feels he can turn to-His teammates have found their mates and he still searches. But unknown to the I-OPS team he has a letter from a long dead friend, foreshadowing that when he meets his mate, danger will come to her. Undertaking to avert the ball of fate, Jon decides to return to his hometown for a ceremony honoring fallen soldiers, including him and his best friend. But once Jon arrives, he finds Fate has other things planned for him and she has plopped his mate right in front of him.  Tori  is an emotionally delicate artist. For Tori, it hasn’t been easy being the town freak. Seeing dead people and talking to them and the dead talking back to her,  is not a talent to be touted to the mob. And why has she taken to painting tigers!!! Her dead gran keeps telling her to "make it and and he will come". This is such a great book. The H/h has such great chemistry and this story was more of an emotional read than physical read than previous stories. I loved watching the hero and heroine meet, get drawn together and do the dance. This story hits the spot and I highly recommend this as one of the Immortal OPS series. I cant wait for more in the OPS series. My rating : 5  stars *****

Jon has been a dedicated soldier for too long. His teammates have found their other halves -- not that he begrudges their happiness. Just makes it harder for him. His job as sniper has never been easy despite his expertise. Attempting to outrun fate, honor his friend and escape his deepening darkness--he finds Tory instead. Oh, man! He needs advice from his team. This can't be what he thinks it is--can it? Fighting it is even harder than doing his job. Talk about revisiting the past--man is he in for more than he ever imagined. This is touching, funny, sexy and another winner. Every book from Ms Roth becomes my new favorite. I love Jon meeting Tory. Now can he protect her? PLEASE don't make us wait so long for the next one! I was provided an ARC for an honest review.

The Immortal Ops series is always a sure bet for a good read and this is no exception. Jon is a deadly sniper for the Ops and a tiger shifter. He has a hard time justifying the lives he has taken, no matter how evil the target, and lives with the guilt of that and of bringing his best friend into the program. Vinnie did not do as well as Jon with the process and is believed dead. Finally the stress becomes too much and he is forced to take leave. He goes back to his small hometown in Louisiana and meets his mate. Tori has many abilities, the most powerful is the ability to see the dead. She is an accomplished artist, but keeps to herself and is considered a freak by the locals. Also, impossibly, she is Vinnie's daughter, and Vinnie supposedly died more than forty years ago. The combination of suspense, romance, and the supernatural make this story hard to put down. Jon is a deeply disturbed character, affected by too many kills and too many personal losses. It doesn't help that most of his team members have found their mates and happiness. His guilt and sadness are very compelling. Tori is one tough cookie. She has lost all of her loved ones, although her grandmother is still hanging around in spirit form, she has few if any friends, and an ex who uses her skills but can't quite accept who she is. She and Jon are perfect for each other. The plot is very exciting, full of danger and secrets, and the romantic scenes are hot!!! Plus this story is setting us up for some pretty exciting developments to come!

Great Series!! This was about Jon coming back to his hometown and fighting his own demons that he battles everyday from choses his made. My heart brakes for Jon, an his past that he won't let go. Tori's Grandmother was such a fun character, I enjoyed all characters so very much. Tori's ability to see and hear dead people, has caused Tori to feel rejection, cause she is different. The sizzle between Jon and Tori is great, they are such a great match. The Immortal Ops is a great series, and you can read as standalone, but series is better. Mandy Roth is such a great writer, Immortal Ops AWESOME series, I recommend to all the loves paranormal romances, with some great action.

I received an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really loved this book and I loved Jonathon and Tori. These two really were made for each. They meet for the first time when tiger shifter Jonathan goes back home for a much needed vacation and he sees Tori whonis with her grandma on Memorial Day placing roses on memorial stone honoring two fallen hero's. This story never stops and is full of action, romance, ghosts, danger and hot hot mating. I started reading this book and could not put it down till I had read all the way through to the last page. I highly recommend this book this author and this series to everyone who loves romance and shifter books. I know you will love it as much as I did. Be sure to pick up a copy you will be very glad that you did.
