I received a beautiful sequin bible for my oldest daughter today and she fell in love with it. The bible an International Children's Bible published by Tommy Nelson. It came in a nice protective box. It has beautiful artwork of sequins on the outside. My daughter was in love and asked me to put it up so it didn't get damaged. It has four maps in the very back of the book. The bible also has a where to find it section in the back along with memory verses for life too. I was hoping it had special features for kid like some children bibles do for them but it didn't. All in all though my daughter can not wait til she can use her bible the first time. This is definitely a bible for the girly-girl in you life!

Holy Bible, Pink Sequin by Thomas Nelson An adorable Bible written in the International Children's Bible® translation, it is perfect for any little girl, most appropriate for ages 5-12. Written in a transation that is easier for children to understand, this Bible offers an added draw to young girls with its fabric covered front in bright cloth with floral print. Embelished with sequined flowers and hearts that stand out from the rest of the cover, this is sure to be a hit with the little girl in your life. Enclosed in a sturdy bible box to keep the cover nice, it is easy to wrap up and give as a gift. Within the bible are dedication pages among other little extras. While adorable in cover, it is still a paper/cardboard cover and prone to bending fairly easily. It may not hold up in the long run with sequined embelishments at risk of falling off. Even so, it is still a very nice bible and one that will likely create discussion between your little girl and those around who admire her new Bible. Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze . com book review bloggers program. This is the Holy Bible, for younge girls. It has a dictionary in the back, which could be very helpful for younge readers. It also had a section in the back of God's promises. I think that's great because children need to know what God says, and He does have many wonderful promises for them that they may not know about otherwise. There were "Memory Verses for Life" that I thought were really nice, because it can help encourage kids to memorize scripture, and gives them an idea of what verses they might like to memorize. I loved the translation, International Children's Bible (ICB). It was so easy to understand! It made the Bible seem more storylike and kept Biblical truths at the same time. I think that this is honestly a great Bible. It's simple, and the Preface helped assure me that it was translated accurately. The design of the Bible is cute and girly, and the 3D designs on the front seem durable, like the rest of the Bible. I thought the print was easy to read, and wasn't too small, especially considering the size of the Bible. I would recomend this Bible translation to anyone with a child, and this Bible to anyone with a little girl. I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Can't seems to get your stubborn little girls to stop reading fiction nonsense and fairy tales and can't seems to make them have even a little bit interest in reading the word of God? Well, fret not, this Sequin Pink Bible is just the thing you need to at least get your stubborn, worldly girls to have interest in biblical studies. Bible seems to be boring to most girls. but you ought to tell your little girls that bible are full of interesting stories on beautiful and strong women like Queen Esther in the Book of Esther, Ruth and Baoz, Queen of Sheba, etc, and getting to be interested in doing so can be easier with this beautiful bible.

As a blogger for booksneeze I had the opportunity to review the Sequin Bible- ICB translation for children, by Thomas Nelson Publishers. At first glance, the bible is impressively decorated with pink cloth binding and sequins. I am sure the cover will appeal to any young girl- but you can not judge a book by its cover. Though the ICB translation is specifically marketed for children , as an easy to understand modern version, it is a good resource for parents and other adults as well as children. I believe that many adult readers could benefit from a bible in simple easy to understand language. Obviously, as this particular ICB is marketed to appeal to a younger- female audience, many adults may not prefer to carry arround this boldy bejweled pink bible to church or bible study no matter how eccentric you are. Therefore you may prefer to read it in the privacy of your own bedroom, unless, of course, you covered the bible with a stretchy, stately, mature, navy blue book sox. Thankfully for us mature folk: parents, grandparents, business professionals and college students, etc., there are many good easy to understand, modern versions that we as adults can choose from. Even though older translations such as the King James Version may be traditional, beautiful and poetically written, if the reader can not understand the antiquated language, then reading it will be of little benefit for the reader. In fact, strict reliance on older versions by some religious institutions is at a great disservice to the membership of the church. A sample of this translation style- the ICB version- is illustrated by the verse in 2Corninthians10:13 - "But we will not brag about things outside the work that was given us to do. We will limit our bragging to the work that God gave us. And this work includes our work with you." Clearly this is a good translation for children as well as adults to understand. In contrast, this is the KJV: "But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you." It is more likely a child would be more receptive, and many adults for that matter, to the ICB version than the KJV. One thing I would like to change is the actual formatting of the text of this bible. Considering that the intended reader is a child, I believe the font size is way too small. Furthermore, the text passages would be better if they were broken up by passage headings/ titles as is common with other translations. Additionally, some graphics, even minimal graphics such as the use of bold fonts and side bars would add more appreal. Other than the inclusion of color insert pages and a cool cover, this basically looks like a pew style bible that you would find in the pew of a church. This bible is not like a bedtime story book of selected bible stories, it is the actual complete bible text. So, if you are looking for a simple quick bedtime story book, this isn't for you. But, on the other hand if you wish to find an easy to understand complete version of the bible that will bring the words of the bible to life for your child...and even yourself, then this is a great choice. As a blogger for booksneeze, I wrote this review and the opinions exp[ressed are my own.

Recently, Thomas Nelson publishers asked me to review this cute, sparkly, girls' Bible. I would have loved to have had something like this when I was younger. Who am I kidding? It would be neat to carry around now! What young girl wouldn't be proud to carry their Bible around if it looked this good. The cover of it is a nice vinyl/canvas like fabric that could be easily wiped off and it is embellished with sequined flowers and hearts. It is written in the International Children's Bible format and includes both Old and New Testaments. It might have other kids asking, "What kind of a Bible is that?" It is easy to read and understand for younger kids/pre-teens. The Bible also includes a dictionary/concordance and some other helpful materials to help kids along. The only beef I had with it was the thinness of the pages, but that is my beef with most Bibles. I understand that to make the pages any thicker the book would be too large to carry, but I was thinking that with kids using it, it will perhaps get more wear and tear and pages might rip more easily. Overall, I think this Bible would be a great gift for that special young girl in your life and would be something that she would be proud to carry, sharing her "light" for all to see.
