Who needs a SWAT team to escape from their own wedding? Me.

My Momzilla turned us into hostages at our own ceremony, so Declan and I are getting married the good old-fashioned way, just like everybody else.

By calling in his private security team, stealing away before the ceremony by helicopter, connecting to his corporate jet and heading for Las Vegas.

The Boston wedding of the year is about to become a trashy Elvis drive-thru ceremony.

Until the best man spills the beans and Mom, Dad, my sisters, his brothers, my maid of honor, my friend Josh, and even my cat, Chuckles, all come along for the ride.

I can't win, can I?

Oh. Yeah. I already did.

Love conquers all.

Even my crazy family.

Shopping for a Billionaire's Wife is the 8th book in the New York Times and USA Today bestselling Shopping for a Billionaire series. After Declan convinces Shannon to escape from their own wedding minutes before the ceremony begins, the madcap adventures are just getting started. When the mother of the bride pries their location out of the tortured best man, the whole crazy crew follows the bride and groom to Las Vegas in this romantic comedy from Julia Kent.

Shopping for the Billionaires Wife Reviewed as an ARC. First off, let me say congrats to Julia Kent for hitting it out of the park. The continuation of Declan and Shannon's story is hilarious. This book starts with Declan and Shannon running...oops...flying away from their own wedding. Shannon's mom decided to plan the wedding of the century and with Declan's dad paying, she turns into Momzilla. Jump forward to Vegas, where Shannon's mom has discovered they are and commandeers a company plane and everyone is in Vegas. I loved this book. It definitely falls in romantic comedy with lots of spice.

2.5 stars. I love this series, it's funny, sexy, and crazy but (in my opinion) this book was not needed. The author could have easily combined this book with the honeymoon book and released one cohesive story or made this a novella. Other then the beginning and the ending, nothing of real substance happened. It was just a bunch fluff. Im not sure what happened here. Maybe the author felt pressured to get a book out. Unfortunately, what completely soured this series for me was her mother, Marie. In the previous books she was obsessed with her daughter marrying a billionaire and she had no boundries, which at times made it funny. But in this book, there are no words to describe how utterly selfish and horrible she acted with the wedding and afterwards trying to hunt her daughter down like a dog! She is money and fame hungry and that's not a trait that I like. She did redeem herself a bit at the end but by then I just couldn't stand her anymore. I'm not sure if I'll continue the series.

This is book # 8 in the Shopping For A Billionaire series. This book should not be read as a standalone. It is much easier to follow, and reader will have better understanding with reading the series in order. There is serious spoilers ahead for those that read out of order intended. Declan and Shannon's story continues and hits a high note in this 8th book. Dec and Shannon have run off to get married, since the circus has come to their wedding created by her mother. The hijinx continue as the family follows them. Shannon cannot seem to catch a break. Declan is the only person she has in her life right now that is listening to what she has to say. Her best friend tries, but is busy with her own happiness right now. Such a clever and funny story! I am always happily surprised that this author makes me laugh so hard. Again, another successful and very fun book. ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Shannon, Declan, and VEGAS!! Will the wedding that wasn't become the Sin City elopement that never happens? This installment in the "Shopping for a Billionaire" series starts right where "Shopping for a CEO" left off. And it's back to Shannon and Declan's excellent adventure. After the all the misunderstandings, emergency room visits, near-death experiences, and crazy family shenanigans, it's time for Declan and Shannon to have the happy ending they deserve. Just when you think running off to Vegas is going to get them to the altar, the mayhem follows right along. If you've been on this rollercoaster since the beginning you will not be disappointed. Once again, Ms. Kent has written an engaging, sexy, laugh-out-loud story. And if the ending is any indication, there's more to come! ***An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review***

I loved this book. We finally get to see them get married!!!! Just not in the original way planned. :/ In this book there is a great competition going on beween Declan and his brother Andrew. It is funny and entertaining! This is a book that you will love, even if you haven't read the other books before this. But why you wouldn't, I don't know. Read this!!

Hurray! Julia Kent is back, bringing with her three-foot-long chocolate penises, cones of shame, and tethticleth galore to once again have us laughing out loud so much that people start to look at us funny! Julia Kent’s characters are so fully developed and well rounded and just real. The characters in this book are absolutely magnetic and you can’t help but be drawn into their lives. You can’t help but root for their HEA. After escaping the wedding, Declan and Shannon have their hands full when their family follows them to Vegas. While dealing with their own growing pains, they’ve also got to manage near constant intervention from family and friends. Can they overcome all the obstacles and manage to make it down the aisle? I have to say that the journey these characters go on is an absolute joy to read. It was hilarious. It was touching. It was romantic. It was poignant. It was meaningful. This was a book I just could not put down... and I cannot wait for the next one! * I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I love Julia Kent's funny books! They are just superb. I was freaked out when Marie insisted on inviting Jessica Coffin, originator of #poopwatch, to the wedding. But everything was explained in this book, and Jason, her dad, gets a lot more screen time. The ending was just really funny and perfect in every way. Every single part of this book was great, from the beginning in Vegas, the media attention, the steamy moments with Declan, and the beautiful ending. I received a free review copy in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, omg and what did you do Marie are some of the first things that come to my mind as I start this review! I will say right off the bat that Julia Kent has done it again! This book picks up where book 7 had ended with Shannon and Declan becoming the run away couple from the wedding from hell that Marie put together and escape to Las Vegas...yeah Vegas baby...where we have Andrew and Declan competing against each other to see who can give the biggest and best gift! Oh yeah we see chocolate penises, spa scenes and a sex toy convention with Marie involved! There were so many emotions running as I read this book! I chuckled, laughed out loud, gasped, sighed, got misty eyed, laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes and actually cried! Julia Kent has this talent of bringing all of these out while reading any of her books! In this book we see more of Jason ( Shannon's dad) and boy did I need some tissues during some of those scenes. We see Shannon and Declan air out some of the struggles that surround Shannon's realization that he is really a billionaire and now this will be her life. I finally understand why Marie became momzilla...and oh yeah this book ends with such a bomb! I can not wait for the next book to see what antics this crew has up their sleeves! I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it be read by all...well after you read the others first! I was gifted an ARC copy of this book for my honest opinion for which I thank Julia Kent for the opportunity to do!

Book 8 is finally here!! *I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review* Shopping for a Billionaire's Wife picks up where Shopping for a CEO leaves off. Shannon and Declan are running from Momzilla and quite possibly the most ostentatious and ridiculous wedding ever planned! They escape to Vegas but of course nothing with these two is ever that easy. What I love so much about this series is the laughter you are guaranteed to get at every turn. This book had me laughing out loud at so many parts (vajacial, how ocean water is salty, the lengths Shannon will go to for coffee, and so many others!). This book also explored deeper conflict and inspired some tears at a couple spots. The amazing thing about these characters, as well as the characters from the author's other series, is they feel so real. I connect with them and feel what they are feeling. I root for their happy endings and laugh until I'm crying at their antics. That cliffhanger ending has me impatiently waiting for Book #9!!

Declan and Shannon are finally getting married.... Maybe?!?!? Not only do they have to learn to combine their lives, they also have to learn to combine their families. Shopping for a billionaire's wife is a comical addition to the shopping series. Highly recommended. Shannon and Declan grow as a couple and learn about themselves as well. Looking forward to the next installment!

I'm a big fan of the "shopping" series and think Julia Kent's writing is a hoot. However, this book seemed to get bogged down in the wanderings around a Las Vegas resort owned by billionaire Declan and his family. Too much filler in this one and not enough story. By the time, they finally get married and have their wedding night, its anticlimactic. Who cares? Just get on with the story. I'm still looking forward to the next one to be released in June and hope Ms. Kent gets back to actually telling the story along with her delightful comedy.
